Who are we to accept such a tragic life? Who are we to endure these deadly emotions that cause us suffering and pain? We constantly remind ourselves to “be happy,” but why? Are we ever? Can we truly live in this cruel world where our destination is not to try to be happy, but to stay happy? Happiness is clearly unattainable to the ones who have opened their eyes and have accepted this world for what it truly is: disappointment. But is that not what drives us to continue fighting our own enemy, the endless hurt we tolerate? One who believes they feel true joy in this world has not, beyond doubt, seen the world for what it is. But I prefer to live, knowing it for what it is and searching for the ecstasy I may never find, then living blindly day by day, only being seen as a fool to the wise.
