2009-01-04 08:35:11 on Who do you have a bigger TV crush on?
Are you asking a question on my question? haha
Apparently you are REALLY interested in this guy, why don’t you just date him? You wouldn’t be obsessed like this if you didn’t want to
2009-01-04 08:21:16 on I Purchased a new laptop for my wife and would like to set up a new e-mail address for her.
Why wouldn’t you just get yahoo or aol?
Its so much simpler
People always make things so complicated for themselves

Yeah, I have my own car so its definitely useful.
Trust me, you are far from alone. In face, I would say you are in the majority.
The smartest people I know are the biggest procrastinators.
Another idea is to tell your parents to crack down on you, when you’re feeling bad about procrastinating, tell them to set you a bedtime, to make you do your homework when you get home from school.
You’ll regret it like crazy, but hell, it will probably help
2009-01-03 20:25:28 on Procrastination.
My word, you just described my entire life. Seriously, this is an exact REPLICA of my life. Down to the bedtimes, the emotions and the homework levels. Geez.
I recently started going to my local library, putting music in my ears and doing all my homework.
It works really well, and libraries can be comfortable,
2009-01-03 14:49:19 on Does anybody think that our world has become too fear driven?
I debated this with my English teacher (many) years ago when studying ‘Coder with Rosie’. We debated whther crime had increased or whether the reporting or crime had increased. And I thought then, and still do, that it is the latter. But then, people acted for the good of the community, (almost like Medieval times when they were bound together in the community) but now people act for themselves. In fear. This s*cks.
Yeah I think its a mix of the two. But I think the overall cause is the media.
2009-01-03 14:33:18 on Does anybody think that our world has become too fear driven?
Me too. Actually, I’m quite proud of that answer, in an ‘not arrogant’ way hahaha
Haha very well. I was thinking about it all day today at work and I couldn’t get over how scared people were of others. And for the most part I thought it was because people were untrustworthy and that other people were scared of them. But i think you’re right, the media only tells us about how women get mugged, men get shot and kids get kidnapped and we put ourselves in the place of the victim. Fear…sucks.
2009-01-03 14:29:25 on Does anybody think that our world has become too fear driven?
It’s media driven. The world is no different, the danger is no worse, but it is reported more. And the media love it, and the politicians love it. Whilst we fear, we hide away and take no action, or responsibility for ourselves or others. We sit, drugged by the TV and wait in fear. :(
****! Good point. I had totally forgotten about the media in the whole scheme of things. I think that the fear is media-driven, but the actions are too. If people think the world is going to hell, they’ll just act for themselves and no one else. Which inevitably leads to the problem I am worried about.
I hate the media.
2009-01-03 14:12:52 on Does anybody think that our world has become too fear driven?
I knew a woman wouldn’t go to her son’s wedding in california because she didn’t want to fly on a plane (the wedding was the january after 9/11).
Exactly. What happened to people? What happened to the days when you could do whatever you want, whenever you want, without worrying about another person hurting you?
Everyone used to be so friendly with each other, but people have become so wary of others that communication with somebody you don’t really know can’t happen anymore.
I hate that.
2009-01-03 14:06:14 on Does anybody think that our world has become too fear driven?
Fear is completely natural in humans, fear can even be healthy. The fact that our entire world lives in fear of each other is completely unnecessary. People are no longer trustworthy, we can no longer live in peace with our fellow man.
The cause of this, I don’t know. All I know is that it exists and it shouldn’t.
Fear of the unknown…ok. Fear of not having enough…ok. Fear of not being enough…ok. Fear of other humans…not ok. Never ok. Scary.
