Forgot to tell you that when you restart your pc you will have to go back and start system restore again got to make sure that you do this. Not sure if you have any cleaners installed on your pc so heres some that I use regulary
If your PC seems like its slowing down and having a hard time surfing the web or just doesn’t seem right. If you think that you have a virus or bug. You need to clean it out first to find out what’s causing the problems. Here’s a few programs that I use regularly and they take very little time and skill to run.

If you don’t have an Antivirus program you can use.

and for your firewall a good program is

Install these programs and run them regularly. This will keep your system clean and running properly. These programs are free and Download.com is a part of CNET (the site that your posting on right now). Hope this helps :-)

Download it to your desktop and then go into your controll panel/system/system restore and disable it.
Reboot your computer in Safe Mode (before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually)
Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe
Select 2 and hit Enter to delete infect files.
You will be prompted: Do you want to clean the registry ? answer Y (yes) and hit Enter in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.

Hey how are you doing? I got the shout from Sasha about your problem. I call it the yellow icon from hell. The best way to do is to reinstall your OS. As said earlier set your bios to boot to CD. Now when asked boot to CD, just click any button. Select “To set up windows xp now , press enter. Now press F8. On this screen Select “To repair the selected windows xp installation,press R. Make sure that the highlighted area is C:\WINDOWS. Now it will reinstall the new windows without the bug and your files should all still be there. The rest of the setup is pretty easy Just a few questions that you have to input. Print this out so you will have a guide. Good luck, Hope this helps :-)
