It depends on what shape you are in and your resources.
Don’t start out with jogging. It is not good for you and doesn’t encourage much weight loss or burn fat. Sprinting, slowing down, sprinting, slowing down does. However, start with walking.
The best thing to do is join a gym and get a personal trainer to help you out. Have a plan and set some goals. Lifting weights is a great way to get in shape. Just because you lift weights does not mean you will bulk up. If you want to you can and vice versa. Again, talk to a personal trainer and read some fitness magazines.
What helps me is putting on my workout clothes. When they are on I feel like working out.
