I dont see how my advice was negative. I didn’t attack the girl at all. I’m trying to get her to look at herself, and I really dont see how there is anything wrong with that.[/quote]
Let’s say hypothetically this was a person on the edge of a building threatening to jump off. Would you try and focus their attention on their flaws? No. Regardless of the manner she is asking for help, the important thing is that she decided to ask for help. And focusing her thoughts on her own mistakes is not going to help her feel better enough to go seek mental health care.
