I see. I am sorry to hear that your relationship ended early. Since you guys were together for two years, perhaps he felt like he needs to focus more on other aspects of his life, perhaps he wasn’t ready for something more serious or he needed to do a little bit of soul searching.. but you see, if it were me, no matter how busy my schedule, I would still make time, some time, for people I care about or I wouldn’t be out of touch with them for such a long time.. but it’s been a year, you never know, he may be interested again, and maybe he doesn’t have a gf, but know that he may end it again.. on the other hand, I know people, like one of my friends, she broke up with her bf for months, but they got back together and now they are married.. you never know, possibilities are endless, what you don’t want to do is to waste your time or regret things you didn’t do.. think about it carefully.. if you ended up contacting him, don’t have any high expectations, if it’s meant to work, it will, if not, hell, there a ton more other possibilities out there.. just don’t waste your life.

My girlfriend just broke up with me today.. you are not her, are you? …anyways, sometime some short time off doesn’t hurt. When things get awkward, if you guys got back together, one of you has to be the one with a bigger heart and break the ice! Try to be intimate and etc… don’t worry about awkwardness, worry about not losing each other!
