  I lost my son 16 years ago. It is the most unnatural feeling for a man to have to bury his son, but sometimes God chooses one of His most beautiful flowers in His garden to have them closer to Him. There is no way to put into words the feelings you have when it happens to you. As Bkingk said, celebrate the time you had with him while he was here. I’m sure he wouldn’t want you to allow this to immoblize you. My prayers are with you and your family.

  Call the local law enforcement agency and ask for a shelter for you and the child. Once there, find out how to get a restraining order against your baby’s daddy. It is very hard and can be overwhelming. If you don’t, you are endangering your baby and yourself.

  It may be that you are trying to live up to others expectations of you. You will always fall short using another’s yardstick to measure yourself with. Depression can be a serious problem and you may need help coping with your feelings. It is not a weakness or shortcoming that you can just “snap out of”, no more you can defeat cancer with just “snapping out of it”. A lot of times you can be influenced by others to see this as a weakness on your part. Don’t allow others to limit you in your endeavors. We are all quite capable of sabotaging our selves quite easily.

  Following the TOS is a very good rule of thumb as people usually judge others by their initial impression. It’s common courtesy to also say what you need help with. Do not give up but learn the rules and use them to help you in your requests. I wish you luck with your situation.

  Obviously there is more to this than you are telling us. Our true worth is never perceived by ourselves. Whether we realize it or not, we affect more than our own lives. Random acts of kindness to others may have a very profound effect on them. It could be as simple as them “paying it forward”, or as complex as to cause them to rethink something as final as suicide. You must live each day as if it is your last. Slow down and look around you. I don’t believe our lives are as much about us as it is about how we use what we have. Believe it or not, we can be an influence to total strangers. Whether the influence is good or bad depends on us.
