People are the way they are because they’re individuals, not because of their gender, race, etc. It’s a shame that we are expected to play a certain roles in society because of stereotypes and generalizations.
Biology aside, there are no differences between “men” and “women”. There are only differences between individual people. (I find it ridiculous when people assume you’re a certain way or like certain things just because you’re a girl or just because you’re a guy.)

I have no idea if this is the case for Bella, but did you ever stop to think that some people cant just turn good vibes on and off? Not everyone can control their emotions like a pro, just go from sad/pathetic/hopeless to upbeat/happy/ambitious.[/quote]
It’s not about switching emotions or pretending everything’s okay, though. It’s about saying, “My life is ****** right now. It couldn’t get any worse. But I’m not going to sit here and feel sorry for myself. I’m going to try to do something about it because it’s better than having a pathetic pity party.”
That might come off harsh, and I’m aware that life can be pretty nasty and rough, but that’s how I ultimately feel about it. (By the way, this is generally speaking, not directed at the OP.)

Don’t focus or dwell on your failures. Take them as learning experiences and move on. (If you can find something of value in failure, you can turn it into a positive thing.)
Also, don’t worry about figuring out who you are. Take things one step at a time, one day at a time, and try to really enjoy/take in what’s around you now.
And believe me, you’re not alone. I’m the kind of person who sucks at everything– nothing ever comes easy to me and I have to work very, very hard at everything I do. So I work hard, and even though there are days I want to jump out a window, I’m happy if I can continue to learn and grow from my experiences, good or bad.

Just be there for her, through thick and thin. If you genuinely do love/care about her, you’ll easily go out of your way to do things for her. Listen to her, treat her respectfully, spend time with her, do special things for her, etc. If she’s been hurt in the past, it might take some time for her to fully trust you. Be patient and give her that time.
Don’t make a fuss out of saying “I love you” or “I care about you” or trying to convince her that you do– just do it.
