  You cannot denounce an entire group by the actions of a few. That’s terrible logic.
  
  By the same way of thinking, you must hate all Muslims since some of them decide to carry out suicide bomb attacks and cause terror; you must hate all Catholics and Protestants, since a few of them decided to burn people they thought were witches; you must hate everyone who uses a computer on the internet, because some people hack and steal sensitive information; you must hate all Californians, because some people here cause homicides.

  Yet lo and behold, we have been able to create and invent gods. Think of the early gods of Greece and the transliterated ones in Rome. The Flying Spaghetti Monster is god as well; there’s just as much proof of the Monster’s existence as there is of any other god’s existence. The only proof you have is subjective; there is no proof you can offer of its existence other than the faith you have for it, hence “he’s as real as you believe him to be.”

  I hate christmas because of how consumerist it’s gotten over the past hundred years. I also dislike it because of its history. It’s really an amalgamation of all the solstice celebrations that the other religions around it had at the time; it was created so the religion was more marketable and made people want to join it.

  It’s purely a secular creation aimed at forcing people to show how much they love one another by how much they can Buy for one another. It’s pretty disgusting.

  Just because you don’t know how to use Mac OS X doesn’t mean you should just outright denounce them… :P
  
  I use Windows XP, Vista, Mac OS 10.4 and Leopard, Ubuntu and Red Hat Linux daily. Each OS has their strengths and weaknesses, and I strongly prefer the Mac OS. Easy to develop for, easy to fix when issues arise, no viruses, and everything that I do (high end animation, graphics, music, video editing) is done on it.
  
  If you are going to badmouth something, at least back yourself up with good reason.

  Memories and ideas don’t pass through genetic streams. While a child will exhibit specific physical traits and chemical traits from the parents, ultimately a child born to a rocket technician will not know about rocketry out of the womb. Ideas and desires are developed independently through experiences with nature and nurture.

  No, traditions and beliefs are indoctrinated, not passed genetically. If you are constantly told how to believe or how to think when you are young, those beliefs will stay with you until you learn to think for yourself.
