While a child will exhibit specific physical traits and chemical traits from the parents, ultimately a child born to a rocket technician will not know about rocketry out of the womb. Ideas and desires are developed independently through experiences with nature and nurture.

No, traditions and beliefs are indoctrinated, not passed genetically. If you are constantly told how to believe or how to think when you are young, those beliefs will stay with you until you learn to think for yourself.

What applications do you normally run? Go out to the Apple store or a software store and buy either TechTool Pro or Diskwarrior X as soon as possible. Run either of those applications and your problems should be solved. I recommend having both on hand; Diskwarrior will fix software related issues, and TechTool will look after your hardware.

Yeah, you won’t be able to edit .flv videos with iMovie. It’s not built for that. Make sure the file is a Quicktime .mov on the CD. You’ll have problems importing .avi files and .wmv files will not work either.

What type of file is it? A .mov? A .flv?

A -2048 means that Quicktime doesn’t understand it and you’ll need to have the file in another format.

You should post on a local job forum. You also need to create a portfolio website for yourself so people can see your work and contact you if they want to work with you.
