And to say that we’re all an ******* at some point isn’t helping. Sure everybody has they’re moments of weakness. But some people are prone to moments of “weakness”, or inability to act rationally and civil. So what do we about it? We say everybody’s an *******, so forget about it. It’s like saying everybody makes mistakes. Sure it’s true, but how does it solve the problem? It doesn’t.

Sometimes people need to explore their options. That’s understandable in long term relationships from a young age.
What you need to determine is how good the relationship has been aside from the breaching of trust.
It’s also important to realize that people are still changing at the age of 19. People change lot’s all the way to 30. It’s really difficult, or impossible to predict how the world will change people in time. That’s part of why so many people get divorced. One of the two changes and no longer wants the relationship.
So, I would suggest taking your time, unless you feel that she is family material. Just use your judgment. That’s the only one that counts in this department.

There are a myriad of greatly intelligent people who have taken their own life in history, and surely there are an equal amount of reasons; albeit some reasons may be extremely similar. To speculate on these reasons would most likely be fruitless in that we have no direct information from these suicidal savants.
I can’t imagine that there would be a strong correlating reason among them either. For the logic in staying alive, particularly if your exceptionally intelligent, is very strong. Not only that, intelligence does quite often improve willpower and confidence; ones drive to persevere through life’s hardships. So, as stated by others, emotional instability would likely be one of the more common traits among the suicides.
Though all the greatly intelligent people aren’t just born, they must nurture their talents to reach exceptional status and become influential. And in doing so, they have probably pushed through many hardships in life, or have been pushed to become so exceptional. Often they overwork themselves, and psychological studies show that workhaulism causes great stress and depression. Greatly influential have a tendency to sacrifice many of their other values in the hope of accomplishing something greater. It’s very conceivable that if one were to spend all their time on an exceptionally difficult goal and find they’ve failed or it seems impossible, they may not wish to continue life, since they’ve already given up on their other interests.
And then of course, there is the hopelessness that is change in human nature. The greatly intelligent people can envision our flaws far beyond that of ordinary men. They can see the outcome of wars with greater clarity, and how deep these flaws run. I feel confident that many of those suicidal savants, like many of us ordinary men, no longer want to be a part of that.

Look, there really is nothing for you to go on here. People are not equal, otherwise we’d all be clones eating the same thing at the same time in the same quantities.
If you respect me the same as hitler, then you have a problem when analyzing scenarios. I am not hitler, thus hitler deserves a different kind of respect. For instance, if you were able to travel backwards in time, and had the chance to speak with hitler while he was in power, you would not say to him “I respect you the same as I respect anybody else in this world”. That is because he would likely kill you, and you have to respect that or die.

It’s difficult to say what I believe, because for the most part I tend to relinquish the need to believe things. I am no scientist, and cannot say for a fact, many things. But I do say what seems most likely correct to me.
Hard determinism is difficult to accept, but how could it be any other way? If it weren’t determinism, then there would need to be some form of true chaos. Which in some formidable theories there is. Like quantum theory. To my knowledge, I can’t really say whether there is or isn’t total causality.
Despite the subjective illusion, it seems that we are physical creatures. There does not appear to be any magical force of human beings. There is no evidence in my life that we are anything but extremely complex machines that have endured millions of years.
In every second, there are 10^43 plank seconds (the smallest known measurement of time). There is evidence of life a billion years old. You, theoretically, are in effect, the creation of that same self replicating chain, as am I. A billion years of molecular development is what makes your beautiful consciousness. This seems more plausible because we have evidence of that. We don’t have evidence of a soul, or a spirit, or anything ethereal.
