I was just thinking of gun laws in Afghanistan. My interpreters are barred by Afghan law from carrying handguns for protection, while the Taliban are running around armed to the teeth. I see gun laws disarming good people and leaving only bad people armed.

I’m all for an expanded background check that would take into account reports from people’s psychiatrists and therapists!

No, I’m undecided. I hope I’ll figure out exactly what I want to do by the end of this year. Good luck with not having a mental breakdown. I hope to avoid having one too, although I think it’s very unlikely it’ll happen to me.

I just moved into college, and classes start in a few days. I was freaked out and terrified before I moved in, but now I feel fine as ever and think that this year will be good :)
I was encouraged to go to some seminar on how to behave in college, but I feel pretty comfortable with skipping it.

I speak up when I see something that is wrong, and I get flack all the time from people who think I’m making much ado about nothing. it’s not right.

what I have found is that it is simply impossible to know about, much less do something about, all the terrible things that corporations and rich people do.

anyway, just because other companies are doing bad stuff doesn’t mean we should turn a blind eye to this.

it honestly feels like you are arguing we have no right to be upset about this.

perhaps? maybe some are, but I don’t know those people. and I’m not going to judge based on hearsay of a random, anonymous internet poster.

I don’t really care about the time period I guess, but the historical fiction I read mostly happens to take place during the late 1700s and like 1100 I think. I watched a great movie about WW2 era China called The Last Emperor, maybe you’d like it. I’d like to keep chatting with you, but I seriously need sleep, so goodnight :)

You like old movies too? I like a bunch of those too. I love Cat on a hot tin roof completely. Yes I love books. I used to (as in just a couple years ago) read tons of fantasy and scifi, but I’ve gotten heavily into historical fiction and philosophy recently. What sorts of things do you enjoy reading?

Hmm I guess my favorites are Fight Club, Gladiator, the Boondock Saints, Monty Python and the Holy Grail ahh there are just too many :) How about you? For some reason I’m usually up for Rush Hour 2.

Lol I know right. That movie and ninja assassin were the only two movies I almost walked out of in the theaters. I only stuck around because I liked Rorschach and well…you’ll see. You said you love movies? Me too :)
