  It’s hard to think it’s already been 6 years since this happened. I’ve always said, “9/11 was the worst day in my history. It was my generations Pearl Harbor.” I get very close to crying whenever I think about it. It’s worse on this day. We do honor to the many police, firefighters, volunteers, and everyone that gave their lives to help those in need. It was a tragic day in history, and I for one, will never forget the gravity of what happened on 9/11/2001.

  Two suggestions for you S&S. Stop with this girl, she didnt mean to make you feel awful, but you need to respect her space.

  The heart of the problem here is acceptance. In my opinion. I used to feel JUST like you. Alone all the time, hopeless, and just plain sad. The thing you have to do is, learn to love yourself. I know how lame it sounds. But it’s true. My hapiness used to rely on a multitude of other people. Until one day I realized the only person I truly have in this world, is myself. And I wasn’t happy with that one person. SO I worked on him, and rebuilt him, and rebuilt my mind. Nobody is going to come to your house to meet you, sorry to say. You have to get out there and present yourself, and give yourself that chance to blossom. “No flower blooms in the dark.” And I appreciate how much you love your boyfriend, but your happiness cannot rely on him. You need to be happy with yourself. Before you can ever be truly happy. And I admit it’s not easy. But it’s very possible. Just start looking more deeply at things, and rather than think about all the shadows and darkness you see, think about the light that is there, to make those shadows. Find beauty in the simplest things. A cool breeze on a warm day, the way the trees sway in the wind. The look on a childs face when their mother play with them. Start small with your positivity, then build on it. Try your best to remember you are never truly alone in this world, and that God is on your side. And you will begin to see the true beauty that is life. ANd if you ever need someone to talk to, shout to me. My door is always open.

  Perhaps if Hitler had been raised differently, in a different time, he could have had the whole world united against hate itself. The point is, he did something very well, for the most wrong reason I think I have ever seen.

  Happiness, like beauty exists in the eye of the beholder. How does a buddhist monk, who might never speak in his life find happiness, and a rock star with everything you could ever want and more words than hairs on his head, committ suicide?
  
  It’s all in your own heart, as corny as it sounds. You need to find the brightness in your life and bring it out, shut out the darkness and turn away from it. If your happiness is your childeren, focus on them, and getting them well and safe. No other thing. No matter what the cost. And apreciate the beauty around you. Althought it may be hard to see, God gave you a world full of beauty, and help just waiting for you to reach out there and grab it. You just have to be willing to reach.

  To reiterate, what kind of help is it you are looking for? Compassion? A shoulder to cry on? Because based on your post your looking for ideas. If you just need to talk, then talk, and we are here for you. :)
