Yes, theyre all blind. And if you trace their histories back, most come from literally the same place, and the same people. Not all, but quite a few. I love history, so studying religions is like studying any other piece of history to me.
Thats beautiful. Sounds a lot like what I believe. Although I believe all religions have the same principals and are connected somehow. But im more of a nature person myself. Thanks for sharing =]
I believe the Christian idea of God, heaven, hell, etc. But I adopt the idea that most people aren’t sent to hell, because if God is who we say He is, I don’t see him casting person after person into a pit of fire for the rest of eternity. Just like a parent would not lock their childeren in the basement for their whole life, for drawing on the wall. I believe that we get sent back, and are reborn when we get things “wrong” Cause in my mind, there is no hell greater than the pain of living again and again, never finding hope for rest or peace. Also I believe we have a choice when we die, if we do “good” as to wether we go to heaven, or come back and do more good work. There are also many of the tennants, and creeds that buddhists follow that I find make sense, and keep them near to my heart. That all living things are precious, that God is truly IN everything, and beauty can be found in the simplest things, in every place we go. And that a certian “nirvana” can be obtained thru meditation, sacrifice, and love.
Sorry if I shouted your ear off, but that’s the jist of it. Any questions, let me know.
