Ah right. That is because *posts* never go dim. A post is, unless deleted, considered community content.

Replies, however, go dim when the user leaves and is disabled.

Scratch that, reverse it. If you search that word, you get dimmed Liz, if you search F*ck, without the censorship, you get two non dim Lizs at the end of page 3.

Whatever it is that dictates wether a users avatar/etc. is “dimmed” is inconsistent. If you search “shit” you get a non dimmed Queen Liz, and she is dimmed in other searches.

This Jabberwock most likely just created a new account with a similar nick to get past the mute. I’ll check into it though.

Sorry to bother you, you might want to check tonights chat log, for a character named Jabberwock, he figured out a way to unsilence himself from chat. And was being very rude, and un-necessary

Well hey, I would love to help in any way I can Chuy. Maybe when “site mods” come rolling around I could be considered to help. I love this site, and want to see it flourish, and I am just glad they have some pretty damned compitent people taking care of it. ;) Keep up the good work, and let me know any way I can help.

Hey, just wanted to point this user out to you, it appears he is advertising for a plagiarism, “we write you papers for you” website. He’s posted the same thing on every post he’s touched. Thought I would bring it to your attention.

Yeah, I was in canadays post, http://help.com/post/52288-i-know-thi… and tried clicking the add friend button under her first post (the actual help post) and instead of it adding canadays, it added bigkr, the next poster in the thread.

Can you give me an example post and which user you tried to add and, (just one more) which user showed up instead?

I probably got a variable wrong somewhere which is causing the wrong user to show up.

Hey Chuy, IM having a bit of trouble adding friends, when I click on the appropriate persons icon, I usually get someone else on the post added. Could be my browser, but though I would mention it.

Chuy, if someone on the site was going to threaten their lives, or physical harm, is there any way you or Cnet could find out their location and contact their local police, to get them help? This is one of those things I wanted to mention as a site upgrade, but wanted to ask you directly.
