Yeah, that book does sound interesting. I’ve gone ahead and reserved a copy at the library.
Ha, you know it’s pretty awesome how much difference a few words can make to ones life. Got any more recommendations?
I’d recommend a few. But I doubt they’re your style, mostly science. You might find “elements of moral philosophy” to be a good read, if you could get into stuff like that. Surprisingly it was a nice light read and not too many pages.
I have to thank you again for making me laugh while using sarcasm; it’s a rare delight ;D But now I have to go, my internet isn’t working lately, and may not return to normal anytime soon. So I don’t blog much. I just check my shouts and notices…sometimes. In fact, I may be calling it quits for a while.
Although it was good hearing from you. :)
Hey, have you seen Dune yet?
Some day, I may try and explain that one. For now, I’ll just thank you for the congratulatory remark…and inquire what you meant by encouragement? Was the cryptic message stimulating? If so, it was certainly intended.
I be bored. Life seems…strange, like a curious insect crawling across the skin of an angelic entity. It holds the center of attention, and the senselessness of it’s existence becomes apparent. Soon after, the attention turns to how it could be improved…actions ensue.
I don’t think avenue.ne wants to get a job. I think he wants someone to point him to a place where he can just go and crash and not worry about working, paying bills and actually have to be responsible. He blames his family for not “preparing” him well but at 22 he still wants to blame his family?
Please……Get a job!!!
That’s what I would have told him from the beginning but I held back to see what he was about.
Your advice is pretty good, but I don’t think that’s what he wants.
Right now I got 41% with 7 out of 17. I’m impressed with myself. Normally after doing about 30-40 I whittle down to about 30-37%, with an average of 35%. That’s 15% more than what you should get with random selection. Which is a significant potential in deductive reasoning and profiling.
Bored out of my mind at work. There isn’t even a word to describe how bored I am. Seriously, I looked it up.
I’ve been trying a positive approach to myself lately. I was nagging on myself for all the things I wasn’t doing and so I decided to start giving myself little pats on the back instead of all the negativity.
Annoyed with yourself? That’s not like you, as far as I know. You sure there isn’t something your not telling me?
I’m a straightforward kind of guy, so if I was hiding something from you, I would say it.
Buuuut that’s all speculation. I’ve never been the social adept. My weakness is an inability to find humor easily….*sigh, it’s debilitating really. At least I have my avid imagination to keep me going.
Ugg, bloging can be so sodding difficult to get some points across.
I didn’t mean for it to sound like I was complaining. I meant for it to sound like I’m stating the way it is, all the while sounding a little bit pretentious. Probably because I am. :P
Anyway, maybe I’m wrong. Maybe you really are keen on this stuff. Whatever the case, I’m willing to share my thoughts, because I’m happy to get a response and criticism. It’s healthy.
Asking if I use reverse psychology to induce a desire to listen to my thoughts seems like a strange question after I told you I don’t lure you into my conversations.
I’m telling you how I believe it to be; your not too keen on learning this stuff. I’m explaining why my shout wasn’t fully organized from thought to thought. There’s too much there, and I don’t know what you already know.
For instance, the significance of teleportation. And the possibility of conventional distance not really existing. Time could simply be the restructuring of particles. Or rather the displacement of order in relation to other particles, but no actual distance is moved, because distance doesn’t really exist.
I know it’s controversial, and I need to do some studying to understand this concept fully. But I think it’s possible. I probably should be letting my theories like this out on the internet. It seems I may not be going out to be a journalist, and become a physicist in the pursuit of clean energy sources. And if I can make a contribution to the understanding of the universe, even better!
It’s only the media and stereotypical thought that spreads the belief that scientists don’t believe in God, or that science disproves God. It only states the improbability of the Bible being literally true.
I’m like Einstein, the answer to all that is and my God’s existence is all that really matters. But I’m condemned to the weak intellect of a human mind, in a possibly infinite world.
Sorry, I should have explained it in more depth. The concepts that are supporting said line of thinking aren’t all expressed here. I doubt you’d listen if it was. It seemed to be going on and on already, and I left parts out.
But really we have to ask ourselves, is time the random changes that are dictated by a randomly occurring law of our physical plane? Or is it dictated by a carefully formulated plan or thought from a being that is far beyond humanity in intellect?
I have to say, the scale of which time is predominant would indicate that it is not just a random occurrence. It is an effect of something extremely powerful, namely the will of God.
Go to this person’s post, and leave a nice comment. He’s really talented, he may even be a true poet at heart. He could use some more encouragement. :D
Ok, so I have no idea how I should go about saying this..As it is likely to be different from what you might expect.
Remember how I said time could be “chaos”? Well what is chaos then? Perhaps it would be best to call chaos a form of change that is random and not predictable.
It’s important to note that chaos in this world could be predictable in another. Meaning, something that has foundations in another dimension, might have none here, and would in effect be chaotic.
Now, we have managed to divide seconds up to what we call the planck level. Which is the quantum level. A planck second is 10^-43, which is one with a decimal and 43 zeroes in front of it. At this point, even quantum reactions basically stop. At this point, the universe seems to stop, and this is the increment at which things start happening.
So, to understand time, we can look at this smallest point, and see that at the increment of 10^-43 seconds quantum mechanics will “change”. Although, they don’t appear to change in an intuitive manner, like traveling from point A to B. They appear to teleport from one position to another.
This could be from an inability to find smaller increments of time, and thus see the incremental motion, or they teleport instantly.
In either case, it would appear that time is that which affects our universe to the point of “change”. Or perhaps it is more accurate to say a “displacement”.
So at this point we have to ask, what is displacement? Displacement is a new order of an object in relation to another object, or “distance”.
Thus time is the displacement of “objects”, namely matter. However, time doesn’t displace matter in total chaos, it displaces matter in accordance to principles, which in effect cause the probability of certain changes in location of objects.
So it is my belief that time, is really the will of God, if there is such a thing. Time is the way the universe should change, according that which makes the world as we know it. And the master of time, is the master of our world.
And so all hail Cronus, the God of all that moves!
Though I still find Charlie interesting because he’s such a likable character. I think it’s because his story, is more real to me. I’ve grown up with a rockstar theme…and drugs.
Ha ha, yeah tangible does have it’s positive side effects. Yet, the tangibility of the mind seems more attractive to me these days. After all, what would we really to do each other physically? Throw water balloons until exhaustion?
After you asked me what time is, I’ve been thinking quite a lot about it. Would you deign to hear my theories?
If not, I’m sure we could return to the character developments of Lost. I still find Jack to be the most likable character. And I find Charlie strangely a runner up, simply because of his abused good nature.
I’m sorry your so bored with all this “universal” and inconsequential conversations. I don’t mean to waste your time.
I just thought you enjoyed this stuff. I don’t mean to lure you into a conversation that has no value to you. Although, I wouldn’t tell you, if I didn’t think it has value to you.
A while. But I’ve never even ventured from my home to pursue it. So don’t think that I can give you the answers. They’re out there! (points out the window) And in here (points at my head).
It only matters to those that understand the world we live in is really big. And in essence, there is nothing that makes a distinction between any of us, other than our subjective ideas. We are all part of this universe, and linked through our total submission to the laws therein. The ramifications of this truth is unknown, but could be far more important than you could possibly imagine.
Attempting to understand the world we live in can bring you closer to god, and enlightenment. I intend to discover what I can about this life, and why it is the way it is.
If understanding heeds no benefit to you, then I won’t try to explain it. But I warn you now, pragmatism is very limited in potential, whereas enlightenment is not.
Well the premise really is this. At the quantum level everything is so small and reacting with each other, that anything we do that would attempt to observe the state of such particles, would affect them. ie a photon would affect the position of an electron. Hence, the uncertainty principle.
But who knows, maybe it’s an elaborate hoax to keep the public unaware of the true powers that is understanding quantum mechanics.
If you were wondering what they were really talking about when they said “observing changes reality”. This video will explain it in a way that isn’t overly mysterious and ambiguous.
I think I’m not going to like it, because they’re actions are probably justifiable. And they’ve done to many unethical things for me to change my opinion of them. It’s going mess up all my foundations of ethics, and it’s going to make me angry.
Or I simply believe what I fear to be true. One or the other.
So, I like that show lost. I like having all the mystery. It balances out all the realism of death and failed attempts of the characters.
Sadly, realism tends to lessen the appeal of entertainment. Yet, ironically, story telling(entertainment) has almost always been about trying to teach individuals a lesson about the real world.
no I haven’t just remember something anything we imagine we can usually create…and almost everything in hollywood is based off of some kind of truth…and there is a large amount of evidence that people are capable of doing these things etc. but why are you trying to say that I’m over paranoid…
It’s the method that’s impossible. The system has no basis on fact. At the foundation of astrology are basically star charts that are said to have mystical meaning. There is no factual basis, just charts passed down from century to century.
That doesn’t mean it isn’t fun. I like having my fortune read as much as the next person. I just want to see some credibility before I base my actions accordingly.
I think it’s a nice notion, to think that people can read your future from the stars. But how? The fortune are nice to hear and all, but they’re clearly formulated to apply to all people. Sorry if that contradicts your opinion. Oh and maybe you should get this song when you have the chance. It’s funny and musically sound.
Remember that quote that what hollywood passes off as fiction might have already happened in reality…tons of people have said et was what happened with ebe…if you read that Behold a pale horse, background on the book I got from some of my close friends are that it was banned in the U.S. for a short period of time, also my friend umm we’ll call her Janet, Janet said she had flew on a plane to new york and had that book with her and an air port security guy saw the book and immediately called for a full search of her things and also they confiscated the book. But any ways in the book EBE was told that he only gave answers to questions he deemed desireable and over time in his captivity gave us tons of technology which would explain the huge advance we made from the 50’s on. Ebe talked about how it was aliens that helped write the holy books and everything else and how they are god or something William Cooper described it as disturbing. I’m not sure how to feel about it but anyways back to the original quote look up district 9…it seems as though that may be the future we are heading towards, maybe the movies with all the aliens and zombies that have been out the past few years are a sign for what may come may be they are preparing the audience for a chaotic time. I mean what better way to help the masses calm down and think about something that may be uncomfortable at first but once embraced with something long enough you eventually become comfortable with it maybe that is why hollywood is well hollywood they subconsciencely program us and help us embrace for things…
