Check out your diet! If I start breaking out a lot I add more acidic fruits to my diet and drink more water and tea and avoid sugary stuff.
I haven’t taken bc in a long time. I have had a copper IUD for about two years now. I had put on excess weight when I took hormonal bc stuff and so I got off of it.
Also something else that works to cleanse the body inside and out is body brushing or sea salt bath scrubs. The later being my fav.
If you make your own at home be sure you get good quality stuff.
You’ll need:
-fine sea salts (pref un-processed and sort of grey in color) Too big and coarse and it will cut your skin.
-light oil like almond or grape seed
-And for acne try essential oils with astringent properties and citruses (i.e. Rosemary, tea tree, pink grapefruit, lemon) Also, to help heal skin (recovering pimples/ wounds/surgeries)try using dabs of rose oil and lavender oil. A caution with citrus oils: They can cause photo sensitivity to the sun so watch out!
-For stress or colds try things like: Eucalyptus, peppermint, and lavender, cypress. Caution: mints and eucalyptus are mucus membrane irritants - avoid privates, nose, mouth and eyes.
Mix the salt in a wide mouth air tight re-sealable container/jar and add oil until it is almost a dry paste. Not too gooey and not too dry and crumbly. Add 1-3 drops of up to 3 different essential oils.
Use it while standing in the tub before a shower OR I like to dampen my skin and then use it and rinse off. No need for soap as this stuff does the scrubbing!
I also like to use ****. Ive’s apricot scrubs and Sea breeze facial astringent.
Careful not to over cleanse your skin or it will dry out and the body will try to correct that by overproducing oils and thus giving you a look of that “combination” skin.
This is why light moisturizers are so important.

Hey! I know this post is old but I was trying to find a medical website I came across a few months back. There was an entire forum of people with a rare (or under diagnosed) migraine problem where meeting up and chatting. Spanning from teens to the elderly all over the world.
There’s plenty of different things that can cause headaches and migraines. Anything from lack of sleep, low glucose, lack of drinking enough water (should be 1-3 qrts a day up to a gallon for people who work out a lot) lack of caffeine for those who drink a lot. Allergies to food, plants, molds and mildew. And sever issues like tumors and blood clots.
To find a holistic way to care for something I would first go to a doctor and rule out if it is a major problem. I had a friend a few years ago ran around for 4 or 5 days complaining his head hurt so bad and I told him to go to the doctor.
Eventually he did and they found a brain tumor was growing and putting pressure on his brain. Later he thanked me for making him go.
As far as if it’s just something simple. Keep a diary, that’s a good idea.
Lavender (lavandula angustifolia) May help relief stress, nausea and help you get some sleep. And although it’s an amazing plant, it will not cure everything.
When using essential oils ALWAYS read the label and KNOW where it comes from. Because in most cases today the oils are adulterated and just labeled to look like the same thing. In that case not only are your thinking you are receiving benefits but aren’t you could be getting something dangerous or possible get an allergic reaction to these false oils. If all else fails follow your nose. Also there is multiple species of many plants. Lavender grows in many places but the kind that everyone referrers to having healing properties is the above mentioned (lavandula angustifolia) also know as “high altitude lavender” because it grows in France at a high altitude. Plants growing in other places will have different chemical compounds in them. Be careful!
One last thing - there’s tiny muscles that attach from the top cervical vertebra to the base of the skull under the occipital lobe. Sometimes these can cause “pains in the neck” and migraines.
I would go check with a doctor to eliminate serious stuff like tumors and clots and then try to correct your food / water intake. If it is still an issue go see a good chiropractor and massage therapist.
Also a warning to those who take things with naproxen (Aleve) in it - Read ALL of the side effects and warning label information here’s ONE snippet as to why I suggest this!
“Naproxen may increase the blood levels of lithium (Eskalith) by reducing the excretion of lithium by the kidneys. Increased levels of lithium may lead to lithium toxicity.”
K take care!
