  it’s absolutely fine you know-breaking the engagement. don’t feel sad or heartbroken…..coz u did the right thing. u know i’d suggest u to meet up with that other guy and tell him bout your feelings openly, tell him abt ur uncertainties…….and if he feels the same way, maybe u guys could find out wht is it that u two have going on. it might result into a lasting relation but it also might be nothing.

  clearly your best friend is a really introvert kinda person……there are a lot of things that need to be done in order to work this relationship out….first things first u need to make sure that u r ready to put in this kinda time and effort, in other words u really need to be sure abt ur feelings…..once that is clear u must begin by convincing him to go on an outing with you, make it seem very casual and under no circumstances use the word ‘date’ or else he’ll freak out…then on the outing make him realize, through small gestures that what a gud couple u guys make and what gud understanding u hv of each other, like buying his favorite flavor of ice-cream or taking him to his favorite restraunt or club……clearly he is hving 2nd thoughts about his sexual preferences and he likes u

  I think he wants to go out with u but is afraid to take the first step, thinking u might rebuff him if he asked u out or might say smthng hurtful regarding his sexuality.
  I’d say begin with the casual outlook and take it on from there…..make him see the special relationship u have….i’m sure he’ll come around in no time.
