I am going to keep giving you this number to prove to you how much you should matter to yourself. You absolutely do not deserve to feel this way and, Mariah, you really don’t HAVE to keep dealing with things in the same way as you have been. There really are better ways out there…I promise that.

The only thing that’s missing is an ounce of courage on your part. Just an ounce…and I know you’ve got that inside you. Simply what you’re dealing with with your Mum makes you stronger than 99% of all the other 14 year olds. You might *think* you are the shiest 14 year old in the room, but what no one else knows is that you are secretly also the toughest. If you apply one ounce of that toughness to all these other problems, the’re going to start disappearing faster than you realize. Good night, Mariah!
