Many universities offer scholarships to exceptional students who can’t afford the price. Study hard and find out about these on the internet. There are thousands of universities worldwide. You’re sure to get a place in one of them if you try!

You need to find the number of households. That number is 2/3 of 148,500.
Put it like this. You need to find X.
Households = x
Registered voters = 148,500
X = (2/3)14500
Divide 148,500 by three.
This gives you one third of the registered voters, 49,500.
To get two thirds, multiply it by 2.
The answer is 99,000. X = 99,000

Hey.
The most you’re going to get out of this post is a catalogue of suggestions you don’t feel very comfortable with. I’m doing English Lit too, I’m in second year though. Why so many posts on this site are English Lit related, I don’t know. I just answered a query about reader response, which has, even more oddly, appeared above this reply. It’s bizarre.
Teaching? Honestly? Doesn’t appeal to me.
Here’s a more exciting option:
- do a three month cookery course with Darina Allen (in Ireland - look it up). Any glamourous catering chalet in the Alps will employ you as a chef. Do a season’s skiing.
- After that experience, it’ll be no bother to get a job as a chef in London or any major capital city. Experience in hospitality very quickly exposes you to a huge range of ‘life’, as such, and I really believe this will help you decide what you want to do when you grow up, so to speak.
- During this time, use your writing skills to write free-lance articles for newspapers. You won’t need to work to a deadline. N.B. don’t just send the articles in, ring them up and see if they’re interested first, saves a lot of time.
- the answer will find you. But not through help.com
- You’re only 21. Chillax.

You are the reader, so when writing a ‘reader’s response’ you just give your own response, your own opinion. It’s great fun. Say what you really think about whatever you’re supposed to respond to, and you can be as outrageous as you like, just make sure you back up each point you make with a supporting quote from the text.
Your finished homework should look like this
- Introductory paragraph
- paragraph expaining point 1
- point 2
- point 3
- conclusion
Make sure you spell check. I’m doing literary studies in university so that’s why I know. Enjoy!
