hmm she probably doesn’t like you… sounds like she was just being nice or friendly. There really isn’t much of a chance there, but if you do want a shred of hope it could be that the girl perceived do you go out much? as some kind of insult. Girls can be like that and read into things a lot more than what was intended.

Just coming from experience I’m no expert here..if he said that he meant it and he had probably been wanting to tell you for some time, but doesn’t know how or just couldn’t. If you want to press the issue you might want to tread lightly, maybe ask him indirectly something like why he got into all that trouble as a kid..might lead to what happened, or ask him if he remembers saying something that one night. You never know he may have been waiting years to tell someone and has just been waiting for someone to ask. If it’s true what he told you then he obviously trusts you very much so the best thing you could do for him would be to love him back.

I think it’s the hope of what could be that keeps you going. Even if there is realistically absolutely no chance you will always know in your mind the vision of what you had…

I think it’s possible to fall in love with anyone even if they’re online, whether you can sustain that love is a different story. You may be in love with them today, but seeing as it’s been such a short span of time who knows what your feelings will be days from now. But to give you some hope a friend of mine met someone online and “fell in love with them online.” Currently the two are dating (in person not online) and have a great relationship going on over a year now..
