Are clubs a necessity or can I do extracurriculars that don’t involve the school? After all, I have work experience from summer, multiple internship experiences from different doctors, I did Glee Club, and I take guitar lessons on campus. If that’s not enough extracurricular-wise, I don’t know what is enough.

No offense, but I want to do more than manage, but surpass my studies. It’s not just a matter of getting my degree, I want to go to medical school. Therefore, my grades are most important.

I’m going to strongly consider a 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T now with what you said. I just wanted to veer away from the V6 like the plague because it’s so slow.
I was wondering if your opinion is swayed based on me being 19 years old? I don’t know if I’m going to await “you’re too young to handle this much car” kind of speech or you can actually talk my mother into seeing the brighter side of snagging the V8 for cheap while avoiding the Mustang V6 because it’s cheaper in the end. But I don’t know if insurance will totally outweigh everything because I’m a 19 year old driving a V8…

I do like the Challenger the most but specs on the SE V6 show it’s even slower than my 2002 Mercedes ML500, a freaking SUV.
And when I was considering the R/T, I can only see them for $30k min. Would it be possible to haggle it down?
And what’s the deal with Dodge in terms of reliability and reputation? I know Ford is on top of their game now, so it’s kind of hard to not consider a Mustang.

I have nothing against imports, but I feel Japanese cars are all dull, predictable, and seem like disposable cars (in the mental sense, not bashing their reliability). My friend’s Lexus ES330 is the epitome of dull, there’s no redeeming feature to it. In comparison, a car like a Mustang is something I see myself growing emotionally attached to, unlike your run of the mill Civic.
I’m very attracted to German cars, but their reliability is either top notch or a nightmare independent on each vehicle. So I’d rather steer clear.
The Challenger is easily my favorite appearance-wise, but I hear nothing but terrible things about the handling and the performance. (Not that I’m looking to race, but I’d like a little kick in my performance whenever it calls for it.)
