  Haha yes, I am the trees and the grass and the rivers and the dumpster on my street.
  Nah look everyone defines success according to their own terms and that is fine with me. I think I am a success just for the fact that I’m still alive (could have been hit by lightning or had a satellite from space fall on my head or whatever) but no, I am still here. That is success in and of itself.
  Awards, the Nobel Peace Prize, Pulizers… these are all just ways of creating a new high standard for success, something to aim for, but its all subjective at the end of the day. When you die, you won’t care if you were a success because you’re dead.
  Actually, now that I think of it the greatest success any human could achieve would be to raise their own kids. Because that is what we are ultimately built for anyway. Procreation, survival of the species.

  Well it’s good to hear that you are starting to accept it and move on, seriously, it will do you a world of good and you know that :) About the pregnancy, do get it tested and of course if you do happen to be pregnant you can always abort it. Hopefully though this isn’t the case.
  
  You don’t need to worry about him anymore. Don’t think about him or what kind of situation it is. The hardest thing you can do right now, but the BEST thing is to just put him out of your mind. Forcibly do it, every time you think about him, just remind yourself that it’s over and you need to begin to heal, take a breath and keep going with what you’re doing. The more you forcibly take him out of mind, the quicker you can start to completely get over him and the relationship and you’ll feel better soon about it all.
  
  I am very sorry to hear about what’s happened to you though. I do sympathise with you completely and it is hard. Just know though that there are people here who are always willing to listen and to try and help you. I guarantee that in time you will feel better about everything. It does take time, and the amount of time varies with each person, but time truly does heal all wounds. I wish you all the best anonymous. Keep us updated with any news you have :)

  Turner.bell, I think you know what most people will say here. That you should leave him, that he is being a d***** etc and I know it probably all washes over your head because you are in love with him. I get that. But the thing is, it just sounds like this guy is with you for the sake of being with someone and not because he is in love with you like you are with him. That’s why every time you express your concerns and disappointments he reacts apologetically and overreacts even. It’s because he feels as though you are threatening to leave, and he doesn’t want that because he’d rather be with you than alone. Well, that’s what it sounds like to me anyway.
  Really what it comes down to is this. Why be in a relationship that is so one sided? Do you honestly think that you could spend the rest of your life with this guy, have his children, live with him day in, day out? Unless you answer 100% positively to these questions, without a single doubt come into mind (even if that doubt lasts a split second) then I really do say it’s time you broke up with him. There is no point in staying with somebody and trying to get them to act a certain way if they don’t already. He is what he is with you, and if what you say is true, that he ignores you online and does not go out of his way to please you, then you should not stay around a moment longer.
  People deserve more than this kind of treatment and I really think a lot of us sell ourselves short because we all fear not being able to find somebody right for us. That we think that calling us everyday, acting in a caring and thoughtful manner and demonstrating their love through actions is too much to ask. It is not, and we should never settle for anything less.
  Only YOU know what you want and what is right. But that said, a person in love often overlooks the bigger picture because, as the old adage goes love is blind, and this is so true. Sure it is horrible to be alone, to breakup with someone you love, and I understand why nobody would want to do this. But is it worth staying in a semi-fulfilling relationship, never feeling truly loved and appreciated?

  Yeah that’s tough. I think you’re sister would need to know before you started dating him. But it would be very hard. I mean personally I’d say yeah, there are plenty of other guys out there and you shouldn’t be with your sister’s ex.
