• I was written up at work because I had a bad day last Thursday.
  

  First of all. When you go to work, you should never let anyone see you sweat. What I mean by that is you should always be in control of yourself. Everyone has a bad day now and then, we know that, but when you’re in a work environment, the boss doesn’t care about your personal life. Any business is in business for one reason and that is to make money. You may not want to hear all this, but I couldn’t help but answer this. I am in sales and when I’m at work, it’s showtime! Doesn’t matter what is going on in my life, and if someone is doing something that is not related to work, it is none of my business. Remember, the least you say, the better off you are. The less you know (about fellow employees’) the better off you are. If you want to go further in your business or career, the best thing to do is . . . your best. Hope this helped. Also, a good thing to do is apologize to your boss for your conduct and mention that it will never happen again. Makes you look good on paper.

  You know, I always say that life is funny! You have to be able to appreciate it’s humor! I had this person one time say to me . . . “What are you always smiling at? You’re always happy! Why?” You know what I said back to her? I said . . . “I woke up this morning! Isn’t that enough reason?” I’ve been this way my whole life. My family always says that I have an angel on my shoulder. I guess I do. I’m a cancer survivor for 20 years now and even when I had that, I still had my sense of humor.
  You said that You’ve been working for 30 years supporting other people’s “fun”? What do you mean? Where do you work? Maybe that was too personal. Let me rephrase that question. What kind of work do you do?

• I eventually want to be a writer SO what is the best type of writing to start at?
  

  Sounds like you want to write as a hobby. That’s fine too. I guess there are some people who do that as a hobby and then wala! They end up with a best seller! What you can do is . . . put your life on paper. Add some flair to it. Put some danger into and maybe some humor as well. Once you start doing that, different things will come to you. Read what you’ve written, and then edit what you don’t like. It does take some time, but with computers, it’s much faster! You should also use thesaurus to help your words sound more interesting. That’s the best advise I can give you. Also, do you dream? Try to remember them and add them into your writing. Make a BIG circle, in the circle put your main idea. Then, draw little circles around that big circle with connecting ideas. Then put it all together. Does this help? I hope so.

  Well, actually, you can’t go on disability. I’m going to assume you were only kidding about that. You have to work, but . . . you have to enjoy where you work and whom you work with. You can have fun at everything you do!! Just put your mind to it. That’s what I do! I’m in sales and I have fun with people all the time! Some people bring their work home with them in a negative way. I always have good stories to tell after work! I love life, laughter and fun!!!
