ok thanks. ummmm my work is buying us 5 trays for a wedding present and we are buying the rest and making our own. trays of fruit, veggies, pepperoni and cheese, chips, sandwiches, etc.

awesome :) i would just like money towards wedding/honeymoon….we don’t need a cake cutter, i have my mom’s veil :D and i have my shoes and not worried about toasting flutes. we are doing everything very basic :) but the church we are getting married in, we can have the reception there too Thank God. big money saver there!

do you have a pic of what it looks like? i’d love any advice and any suggestions, etc!

how many are you carrying? sorry for all the questions but i don’t have a lot of people I can ask….well my mom’s been off due to health problems and they are just getting back on their feet so I don’t want to bother them with it right now. i guess I will just try my best and wait and see.

I think my parents will help some and my fiance says his will and I will be having a bridal shower but I don’t want to count on that just in case it doesn’t work out or we get no money from it ya know?

No worries. I’ve done it a hundred times and I know I’ll do it again lol. Ours is $3555 all together (wedding, reception, honeymoon) not incl. my dress, my fiance’s suit, jewelery, favor bags, guest book and flower petals and heart shaped gems for the tables. that’s the stuff we bought not incl. in budget. i got really good deals on all of that. i still don’t know what to do about flowers…..there are no good places around here…..i was thinking maybe only carrying a few flowers and giving my sis (maid of honor) two….but would that look too stupid????

You shouted yourself again lol. no worries. well i found a website where i can get 84 flowers for $15. including shipping will cost $60…..i can’t find any good fake flowers around where I live….can I ask you something personal? Are you two going on a honeymoon? Also, how much will everything cost for you? (i mean wedding, reception, honeymoon if you are giong on one?) if you don’t mind.

i know. i know it’s hard, love, but you’ll get through it. wear a lot of heavy sweaters this winter, eat a lot of ramen, and just hope for the best. don’t let it get you down so much that it ruins the fact that you’re getting married.

you know, i was just thinking. the more things you order online, the more you end up paying (because of shipping). I wonder if there is a way to dye white flowers blue (if you can’t find royal blue at the craft store)?

well we need $320/mth til next May now and after the dentist it wil about $400/mth or a little more…how the heck do you do that and pay bills plus in the winter we get oil bills :(

it’s just hard. it means so much to us and we don’t have a lot of money. we’ve made everything as cheap as possible. i just don’t know what else i can do….we are saving every single extra penny and we’ve cut back so much….i just don’t know what’s left that I can do to help us…

Yeah, well so far…our wedding/reception/honeymoon will cost $3555 which is pretty good except my teeth problem….I can’t do two jobs with my hours and neither can my fiance….i have books i could sell (lots lol) but i can’t seem to get anyone to buy them….flowers i’m using silk flowers and making my own….

we picked out pictures of bouqets from magazines that we liked, then opted for more scaled-down versions with cheaper flowers. For example, we’re using gerber daisies (really cheap!) instead of some fancy designer flower that was in the picture

my future grandmother-in-law offered to pay for them, and we ended up racking up almost $2,000 for it. it’s pretty bad.
I’ve been working 2 jobs and doing extra stuff for friends to make extra money to pay for wedding-type stuff. My mom got me a book for christmas on how to plan a budget-wedding. the internet also has some great resources.

don’t mind at all! my flowers were rediculously expensive.
