2009-11-07 00:21:25 on For about the last two weeks, I’ve been having weird dreams.
Might be a representation of the future.
2009-10-31 21:18:29 on can anybody recommend a lightweight Linux distro that will run on old hardware?
puppy linux, but I didn’t like it in the end…
2009-10-29 00:03:07 on My mother thinks I’m too intellectual.
Based upon how you speak here, I agree with your mother.
Stop being such a punk and go meet other people. In the “real world” you don’t always get to choose whom you work with, you’re mother is just trying to make you more exposed to various situations, before you are in a position where it would really hurt.
2009-10-28 23:58:59 on M doin a paper on the impact of organisational structure
Dude… you have internet access.
2009-10-28 23:57:22 on Are you familiar with Google analytics?
Inserting code on the site.
2009-10-28 23:56:07 on math prblem help pleae.
You can do it this way… but they might know you cheated? Actually, I’m pretty sure this works, but not 1005 (I forgot…)
g(x) = -2x^2 + 2x + 1
Take the derivative so …G’(x) = -4x + 2
Find the 0s…
0=-4x+2 so x=1/2
The vertex is where x=1/2
plug that in to g(x) = -2x^2 + 2x + 1
and g(1/2) = -2(1/2)^2 + 2(1/2) + 1 = 1.5
Or, you can say “the vertex lies on the axis of symmetry… because we know the axis of symmetry is at x=1/2, we plug that into g(x)=-2x^2+2x+1 and get (1/2,1.5)”
2009-10-28 23:51:41 on i need help in starting a small scale industry
what?
2009-10-28 23:50:21 on i have a 6 page research paper due at 4 pm tomorrow.
Do it, think about how coca-cola spread across the world. Take cases like in Japan, Germany (WWII, or was that pepsi?), China (coca cola opened the door to a lot of trade etc)…
2009-10-27 22:26:50 on Anyone hate research papers?
Here’s my suggestion:
free write, you’re not allowed to cross out any word or backspace, just free write.
Of course, you can only do this after you’ve read enough, so read, and jot down quick notes etc… after you’ve got an okay grasp of the topic, free write.
Come back a few days later, read what you’ve written and a draw it out (like a mind map) You’ll find new connections and the structure will form itself.
2009-10-27 22:25:00 on I can’t orgasm.
lol
2009-10-27 22:22:12 on I got the H1N1 virus and a secondary infection.
drink tea?
2009-10-27 22:21:34 on any of you guys good with Linux?
With linux the internet is your friend, just do a google search for redhat audio drivers and then either your motherboard model or sound card etc
2009-10-27 22:17:42 on What happens if I take Advil daily?
okay
2009-10-26 01:08:52 on bloody nose for an hour?
donate it.
2009-10-26 01:07:34 on a skier is being pulled up a slope with a constant velocity by a tow bar.
Okay, constant velocity means that acceleration is zero… meaning that net force is zero (because force is mass times acceleration).
This means that all the forces added together equal zero… What forces are acting? The skier’s weight pointing down the slope, friction pointing down the slope, and the tow bar pointing up the slope.
This means that the force of the tow bar is equal to friction plus the skiers weight…
Now you know friction is calculated with normal force, in this case normal force = m*g*cos(angle) and skier’s weight will me m*g*sin(angle)
So Tow bar force = (coefficient of friction)*m*g*cos(angle) + m*g*sin(angle)
Also, I maybe not be telling the truth about the solution ;)
