Arkia,
Noted and understood. Apologies for reading too much into things, expecting.

Monica, I explain a bit better over on this post.

And not relaxing is part of the whole ball of wax with me. Really difficult to relax, to be more aloof. I’m working on it but it’s a gradual thing. I know there aren’t any magic wands. But I thought if your site was offering some bit of help, advice, maybe it’d be worth asking. So, when I asked the reply was an automated post back to a suicide hot line number.
And the reply in this thread was ‘oh it’s too complex’. Yes, I know life is that. Someone listening, helpful? Not really. I need solutions, guidance. Don’t need religion or politics, just some straight answers to questions like, can I borrow oh say half a mill to get out my family out of debt? Who would I work for to pay that back?
Can I get some form of medical, dental and vision benefits in a career? Notice I say career, not job.

Well, obviously I’m not suicidal. Depressed as hell, yes. But as long as I continue the medication the nasty thoughts keep away. The problem being I’m not sure how much longer the medication will last. It is possible we won’t afford it soon.
Yeah, I understand some of the attitude. After all I’m posting on the internet, must be affording something. Truth is, not sure how long that’ll last either. Like I said it has gotten worse, keeps getting worse.
Don’t want mom to lose her home. Not merely because we live here with her, either. She’s fought tooth and nail for this place. **** shame her ******* deceased husband can still kick her *** via unpaid tax debts. The world is not fair. Yes, I know everyone faces that.
I’m having lots of trouble. Your site came in Google, top o’ the list. “Need help? Come here.” I am reaching out offline, as well. Working with Department of Rehab services to see if I can get help finding decent work, that suits my abilities and needs. Trouble is the Rehab case worker said it pretty clearly,
“you’ve no education to speak of, any job you’ve had has only been for two years, no real job skills or good job history … plus you are an emotional, mental wreck. Boy, do want to make it any easier?”
Sorry, I grew up with a dream of being career military. I attempted that and got booted out, they said I didn’t fit the image. So, I came home, got married. Worked for a while, here and there, making nothing, having no bennies. Wife and me ever having our own place? **** that, we don’t even get the luxury of dreaming.
When is all this vaulted and glorified Change supposed to come? It can hurry along any time now. Where are they stashing the good work? Hell I’d even shovel **** at this point, if it helped keeping us fed. Trouble is the hole was way too deep to start with, no one quit digging either. Wife and I are trying not to dig so much but folks got to live, too.
So, yeah a number to a suicide line posted for a sailor. “Um, Mr. you can go **** yourself, I never surrender.” Thanks for nothing, except pointing to the bell. Never rang it then, never shall. But see, back there you had mates. Out here, nada.
Nice computer rack by the way. Makes my little Linux desktop box seem pathetic.
I asked for help on a site billed to offer help. Pretty rough not to find it.

Well, I know the site started out as a computer help site. Then it became a general help site. The point being the site is called Help dot com, described on Google as a place to seek help. So, a person comes and asks for help. It’s not there, they’re told some issues are too complex, or you just need someone to listen.
If I thought merely talking could solve anything at this point, I’d be talking to a psychologist, not the internet. The site bills itself, as is shown by the Google description, as a site to find help. Why describe it as that, and offer that if there isn’t any?
Oh wait, that’s right this is the internet. We all just make snide remarks and laugh at those less fortunate. Sorry, forgot where I was for a moment.

Thanks for nothing.

Someone to just listen, huh?
Too complex?
Yeah. Whatever.

Gee, thank you Help Bot.

I concur with the OP of this thread. This site is just another feel good, bubble headed social networking site. Some folks are beyond being patient, beyond trying to help themselves and their families with what? Hope? Yeah, okay.
“Just wait, it’ll get better.”
Sorry, it never has and won’t ever get better. That is optimistic at this point. So yeah, thanks Help Bot for posting an 800 # to a suicide prevention line. Quite helpful indeed. Not.
