do you know the minor pentatonic scale? learn it in first position, then mess around on it over your song. if it’s doesn’t sound right, maybe you could learn the aeolian scale, first position, and mess around on that. just google these and they should be there. that’s sort of the best advice i have right here, lol… learn some licks, maybe google “guitar licks” or something. - written 4 months, 3 weeks ago
I guess it depends on what exactly you want out of your music. Just because you spent 5 years doing the wrong thing does that make it right? think about it. It’s comfortable to have something to fall back on. If you have something to fall back on, maybe music is just a hobby, think of where most of your energy is going. that’s all i’m sayin - written 4 months, 3 weeks ago
i understand how you feel. i think firstly you should stop talking down to yourself, it just reinforces how terrible you feel. i think a good place to start is to start calling people, even if you don’t feel like it.get to know them. start doing things even though you don’t want to do them. you’ll work your way out of your mental hole. you’ll know them better. you’ll trust them, and they’ll trust you.
that’s all i got… up to you to make the choice. - written 4 months, 3 weeks ago
