  There isn’t a “Too old.” Every person I’ve talked to has told me that they wished they’d waited for marriage to have sex. Just remember, it’s an act you can’t take back, and it’s a whole lot more specail when you share it with someone you’ll be together with forever.

  That seems to be an issue with some people I know personally lately as well. The only advice I can give you is to try to look back on your life and remember all the times God was there for you. Remember when you were down, and He brought you comfort. Look at your life as a relationship with God. Remember the good times and the bad times.
  
  I’d also really suggest reading through the beginning of the New Testament again. Rediscover who Jesus is. Fall in love with Him again.
  
  Deep down in your soul you know God is there. You just need to rediscover Him! :)

  Something similar just happened with my (now ex)girlfriend and I. I was getting really complacent, and unknowingly selfish in our relationship. She just broke up with me last week. We were together for 3.5 years. I learned a lot from this, and grew an incredible amount as a person through all this, BUT YOU DON’T HAVE TO BREAK UP!!!
  Here’s what I’d suggest: Sit down with him. Get his FULL (I mean 100 freakin %.) and tell him exactly what he’s doing wrong and how it makes you feel. Tell him the relationship is on the line. This guy needs a wake up call before it’s too late.
  
  This is all I could have wished for before my girlfr… i mean Ex-girlfriend broke up with me. If I had truly known what I was doing to her, and how it made her feel, I would have turned things around so fast it would make your neck snap. This relationship CAN be saved. don’t go breaking up over this just yet. It sounds lame, but communication is key. Any decent guy’s favourite thing is making his girl happy. If, after having a serious, lengthy, talk with him, he doesn’t change (or even want to) then there’s not much else I can say.

  I’m pretty sure this whole thread here is designed to instigate, or display, hate against Christians. This is not only against TOS, but stands as an example of how the world will hate Christians right up until the end of the world. (By the way, didn’t the Bible tell of persecution right up until the end times? You’ve proved the Bible yet again, tuesday.)
  There’s really no point in me speaking out against this, because the Bible says persecution will exist in many forms right until the end of time. It can’t be fought, only endured.
  In this case, however, this post directs hatred toward a particular people. Therefore, it should rightfully be reported and closed.

  One thing I’ll recommend here that you’ve absolutely got to do is to read, “The 5 Love Languages.” I was in this exact situation not long ago and ended up breaking up with my girlfriend because she was so lazy. After reading that book, I realized things were just as much my fault as hers. It could be that you actually aren’t doing the things that make him feel loved, and, in turn, he’s not as excited as he used to be about spending time with you.
  
  The book basically tells how different people show love in different ways. From the sounds of things, you’re probably like my ex gf and show love through quality time with your boyfriend. You want to do things with him, plan things with him, and spend time alone with him. He may not even recognize that as a show of love because he may speak a different love language. If you’re not willing or able to read that book, I’ll make one other recommendation. The 5 love languages are Quality Time, Acts of Service, Giving Gifts, Words of Affirmation, and Physical Touch. Try expressing love in a language other than Quality Time, and see if he responds.
  
  Does he feel better when you say good things about him? What about when you help him around the house? Does a hug and kiss every day make his face light up with joy? Or does he get excited over things like love notes, special gifts, or when you bring him food? You can even simply try listing the 5 love languages to him and asking him which one he thinks he identifies with.
  
  Let me know how it works out! Just make sure you don’t break up with him unless you’re completely sure it’s the only option. Remember: It’s usually permanent.

  Youtube actually has a huge cache of videos that help shy guys talk to women. Being in car sales, I’m a bit of an extrovert normally, but I also run into trouble talking to girls, especially in a club scene. I just broke up with my gf a short while ago and am getting myself back in the game. While I’m not really looking at meeting someone else, I’m still doing my best to grow in this department.
  
  One thing I’d really recommend is that you know that it’s ok to break of contact with a girl part way thru the conversation. All you need to do is lead in with a good, solid opening line to get the conversation to a high point right away, then explain that you need to leave fairly quickly because you’ve got some friends waiting. When you walk away, the last thing the woman will remember is the high point in the conversation. That way, when you think of more things to say, you can return with the same energy you came in with, and carry the conversation further.
  
  If you try to hold the conversation too long, you will likely run out of things to say, and end up walking away. The last thing the woman will remember of you is that moment when the conversation died. Why would she want to talk to you again?
  
  Observational openers are great. I’ll give an example of one I used last weekend: An attractive woman entered the bar wearing a winter had that looked like a fuzzy animal of some kind. It was very soft and furry and had a face on it with 2 long arms that functioned as a built-in scarf. I approached her and told her I loved her hat. She said thanks. I then told her it matched my underwear perfectly. She thought that was hilarious, and totally opened up to me. The moment she did, I told her I had to get back with my friend because it was his birthday. I could tell in her eyes she wanted to talk to me more, but I ended up parting ways with her so I could talk with her later on.
  
  The most important thing is that you keep trying. Rejection is nothing to fear. You’ve got nothing to lose, and the worst case scenario is that you leave the same way you came. Get out there!
