  well, yea, i guess. i just dont think people realize whats going on. well, the teachers might, but i dont think they care. they’re openly Christian (which i totally dont mind) like they wear crosses and stuff, but if I wear a Star of David necklace, everybody moves out of my way as I walk down the hall, like i have some sort of disease! my friends kinda get that it hurts, but they dont really understand. they tell me that people are “just joking” so i should get over it. but i CANT. it haunts me day and night. people treat me different once they find out im Jewish. even some of my friends, if i mention for whatever reason that I’m Jewish, they widen their eyes and say “You’re JEWISH??” then claim that they totally dont care. its just totally messed up and i dont know what to do.[/quote]
  
  I don’t think you understand how serious this is; You wouldn’t consider sexual harassment to be a joke, would you? I’d love it if your principal agreed this is “just a joke”, because they would be fired by the education system. Crimes have been committed here, by your fellow students naturally and your teachers for standing aside. It doesn’t matter what religion they are, it is a teacher’s job to protect their students. If they did not do so, it shows they hold opinions similar to your schoolmates’ and should be punished for it in the same way, or worse.
  Now please, there’s no point in continued discussion of this topic; it is *you* who needs to take action ASAP, or choose to withdraw and let this harassment keep going, not only for you but for any other Jew in this school. Even then, I warmly recommend that you ask your parents to move you out of that school, because of [this list of reasons]. Should you choose to stand up to this, ask your parents for help; this is not just your problem. The newspapers would rejoice hearing about those incidents of discrimination.

  It wasn’t the express bus.
  
  When helpmod joined, it was only a matter of the site breaking down, bit by bit. A slow break which involved a slow fall, with “minor” features breaking every few months.
  But when trolls become unbannable, that’s the express bus in my opinion.
