  trust me dear, things CAN change. and DO. your life is FAAAR from over. the economy is bad right now and everyone is looking for work. since the war is “over” a lot of vets r coming home and needing work too. stay positive and keep the hope. if you have to, do odd jobs around town or go downtown and look for daylabor or workready (companies that help you in getting a job).
  dont give up. it can always get worse. and you dont want to go looking for that kind of negative energy.

  I want to tell you something. The book called “The Secret” is the most un-buh-stinkin-lievable load of hogwash ever to disgrace a bookshelf. The movie adaptation was equally absurd.
  
  How well is it working for a.anderson06269? She got pregant when she was 16. Then her son died. She’s had 14 major surgeries. Right now, she needs two replacement hips *and* ankles, and her spine is all fouled up now as well. Finally, she’s a single mother.

  actually all of my problems were before i started looking at positives. for starters several genetic conditions which thank you, were not my fault. however since iv started looking at the positives, my life has turned around. im going back to school, making $1700/month ON MY OWN, and am engaged to the father of my child. take it for what its worth but the person who responded to my post is very clearly miserable and negative. i wish you the best of luck in life.

  it is a big deal darlin, but not as uncommon as you might think. i live in texas and dont know many people who went their entire teen years w/out cutting a couple times. im only 20 so its not that long ago for me.
  no, its not okay that you feel this way but finding support is key! i attend local depression support groups regularly and they help a lot! being around other people who understand and who are trying to not think that way offers a lot of support when its something you’re worried about.
  look up depression support groups in your city and see if you can get to any of them. they are usually in an office-type setting or at a hospital/clinic. your mother doesnt have to find out if you’re not ready for her to, but baby doll she DOES need to know you feel this way and you do need to get help.
  if you think you feel guilty now, wait until you “slip” and cut too deep. i imagine your family and friends would be devastated… get help please. support groups are local, peer-peer, and whenever you have the time.. if you need to talk to, just send me a shout

  now mind you, we are all just people you have never met who could very well be psychotic. BUT. i would agree with Zirbel. that IS the full quote and i personally have put it to the test.
  
  the father of my child told me after i found out that i was pregnant that he wanted nothing to do with me. but he kept coming back. we stayed friends through thick and thin. after nearly 4years of this, i told him to choose. that it was us or them (them being all the other options). he told me hed rather never see me again. so assuming this was his wish, i obeyed. despite him being in the military and so far away from us, i let him go. i would not talk to him, write him, respond to any of his calls, emails, or letters. the first and last time we went more than a wk w/out talking. lasted a couple months. then one day he came back home and asked me to marry him.
  that day i realized he was mine. i let him go completely and on his own, with his own efforts, he made the choice that he wanted ME as his wife. now we’re planning our wedding after being friends for nearly 6years!

• My Bird Keeps Attacking My Dog!
  

  i have a green cheek conure too and she attacks my cat who has the same problem. we raised him to be a gentle giant, not thinking the bird would ever go after him…
  
  the petstore i go to informed me that sunflower seeds in their diets can actually cause agression in birds, especially the smaller conure breeds.
  
  also green cheeks are a big personality bird in a tiny bird body. this being the case, they need the dominance training that a larger bird would need… which incidentally is very similar to “bully breeds” if you know anything about dogs.
  
  find a way to instill dominance over the bird. for most of them its putting your hand over their head and fingers wrapped loosly around their neck until they calm down and behave the way you want them to. i know it sounds mean but thats what iv been told by breeders and trainers all over the west coast.
  
  i started buying my Kahra a custom seed blend and doing daily dominance training with her and shes doing much better! now she only goes after him if he tries to intrude on her cuddle time with me lol
