Hey Al, you give me too much homework to do. What three symbols: Cross, Star of David and what?
Interesting thinking about the number 23. I think men wrote the Bible with quotations from GOD. The Old Testament was written by many different groups and each put their own interest to it: Yahwehist, Priestly writers, etc. Most of it is saga, and imagination, others are filled with history which are proven by archaeological findings. Jews borrowed a lot of thoughts and culture from neighbouring people. What I like about them is that they always emphasized on the fact that there is ONE GOD. Like a prism which breaks down one light to many colours, it doesn’t matter how you call GOD, HE is ONE. What striked me the most is by learning about the Old Testament, how similar Jesus was and acted to the people as the GOD of the Israelites. One said Jesus quoted a lot from the Old Testament, and he said he didn’t come to change it but to fulfill it. I believe that.

It is said tha Moses wrote the first five books of the Bible. In a manner of speaking I believe this, but no where will you find language such as the one I am writing to you, in. Not english, but in the first person sense.
Moses didn’t say: “I was a baby in the time when Pharoah was killing all the male children in Egypt, so my mother put me in a basket and floated me down the Nile river where I was found by the daughter of Pharoah.”
We are gloves, and God is the Hand. Such as it is to be led by the spirit when the spirit is within you. The glove is only capable of picking up the pen when the hand is ready.
The Bible, is a completeted literary work. At one time it was not. At one time it was a work in progress, supposedely written by all these men. . .
. . .I’ve done a lot of reading in my time, from authors so famous they tire of their books selling just because of their name alone. So they write other books and use a different name. How that book sells is irrevelant to the point. The point is, no matter what name they use, their writing style is just the same - that is the focal point. The writing style is the SAME.
And the Bible, now complete, has a writing style that reads NO DIFFERENT from the begining than it does from the end. There can only be one author, God.

BAck again.
Okay.
The question is, did God or man write the Bible? We have to understand the Bible is recognized by believer as to be the very direct Word of God. Being the case, He is the author of the Bible. And if He is the author of the Bible, He certainly is the Editor. . .
So, that there may be no confusion about translations and versions, God had a final product in mind, the King James Version.

Okay, I have a few short minutes before my safety meeting and work schedule.
So, I’ll write this as a reminder to myself that the next subject of interest should be the Bible. Specifically, the King James Version (with no revisions or ‘versions).
The Bible is called the Word of God because in all respects it is He Who wrote it - not necessarily man as many unbelievers argue.
Your thoughts are appreciated while I’m away.

- you have to realize the actual period of time we live in, The End Days where Satain (Lucifer will work through any avenue possible to distort Biblical truth. You’re right, Biblically, there were 12 stones (which represented the 12 tribes of Isreal)and the wood used when it came to the building of the alter. Now, I’m not so sure as to how extravagant the priest’s robes were meant to be, I just don’t see them entering the Holy of Holys dressed like Al Pachino.
—————————
(P2. CONT’D)
The Star of David is a geometrical configuration which represents God as the Father. Its shape was taken and now represents Isreal - it’s design by true nature is Celtic, but the Hebrews were quite the weavers too.
And now, the classic Cross. The Cross not only represents Jesus (Christ), but also represents, the number of people, involved (which is really subjective because it actually represents all persons. It depends on the context.
———-
HOMEWORK: Draw these three symbols on a sheet of paper, from left to right. Now, below that, see if you can create the appearence of a person by using those symbols.
Hold onto your homework paper.
—————–
Now, with everything that I’ve mentioned, let’s look at what it is to be made in the image of God. . .
It has been said that down through the ages that the eye is the windows to the soul. So what is the eye? Well, it’s best represented as a circle. It provides us a lesser condition of what it is to be Omnipresent.
Now, optic nerves (from both eyes), both seperate and are harnessed up in such a way as to overlap each other (the optic chasim), and other go straitway to what is called The Lateral Genigulate Body.
The LBG is a socket into which the optic nerves plug into. It is located in the back of the Thalamus.
If the eyes can be compared to cameras, then the Thalamus can be compared to two organic televisions which face each other.
We, as a soul, are located in the Thalamus.
We are a spiritual eye, thinner than a disk, watching life brought to us in real reality, from the left and from the right.
(actually, Beatrice, I could only hope that the light comes on with you, concerning what I’m saying about this).
The thalamus is organic (of course), but it is trying to convey a very specific geometrical shape. That shape would be the Star of David on a 23 degree tilt. . .
Because the Earth is tilted 23 degrees. . .
Because half of the chromosome pairs are 23.
Most nerves of the spinal column both begin and end at the Thalamus. And since nerves go out through the entire body, the best symbol which represents the body is - you guessed it, the cross.
————————
This is what it is to be made in the image. Here, we have all the elements and factors to communicate with our Lord. Here, we have all the understanding in a text-book sense, of how He can reside in us and interact with us. These things are the very proof which is no proof to the unbeliever, because they have no part in eternal life. (unbelievers as those that reject God as atheists do - not necessarily because they are of a different faith or religion).
——————-
NEXT LESSON: HHmmmmmm (what should that be. . .)You’ll just have to wait and see:D

Hi Al,

Reading through your sentences reminded me with the texts I read in the course book. We just learned about God being 3times omni.
I am studying a 4 years course and in the first year we have to study the Old Testament, so now I am reading the Jewish version of it (Tanakh) and the translated version of it in various editions. It is fascinating how the translations are misleading or adding to the meaning of the original “idea”. We just finished the Exodus which took us a long time and I have to tell you Al I didn’t like the way the priestly class distorted what God told Moses what kind of altar HE wanted. God never told Moses to gather all kinds of fabrics and precious stones for garments of the rabbies etc. I didn’t like that part. What I liked very much is how the Jewish people at that time called God in many different names when in fact they meant the same God all along. Next year I am going to study early Christianity which will include the Gospels in detail. I really like the way how much time we spend on the detail. I learned a lot already.
Your story is interesting, it reminded me of a story I read to my students in the elementary school: “My Name is Bilal”. The boy was scared of the bullies of the school so he said his name was Bill Al, as in William Alan.

PART TWO.
This means that God is all powerful, all knowing and everywhere-all-at-once, in the universe. This includes being present inside of people as He does the outside.
Let’s now look at some geometrical configurations which symbolize the Trinity and God as One.
The circle. Symbol of eternity. This is largely a symbol that represents the Holy spirit. And Omnipresence.

Tell you what, I’ll indulge a few short courses and give you, at very least, an
interesting Christian perspective. Welcome to Big Al’s Class of Christianity. About your teacher: When I was a little boy, I was literally worshipped (no, I mean it, dead serious). I was three, and brilliant blond. The Iranians of Terhan didn’t know my name as “Allan,” but as, you guessed it,
“Allah.”
You see my dad was in the US Air Force and my mom worked at the embassy in Terhan where we were stationed. On their salary they could afford maids - a mother and her daugher and a real nice luxury house with a pool. They began talking to me so much that I only knew Farsi and no english. It took them to translate between my parents and I. They (the maids)would invite guests
over to. . .look at me. I’m not privey to the details of that or what it meant but it was different.
My point is, people should not be worshipping people. It’s a sin. And the one common factor by many different religions is that of angels. These beings are a creation of God, and as such, should not be worshipped. Nature, itself, is a creation, made by God, but is not God Himself, and should not be worshipped. The many reasons that so many religions are the wrong religions is because they involve themselves in some form of worship that has nothing to do with God (or Jesus).
Now, to learn Christianity, it must be taught with continuity, so we should have some sort of foundation to start from.
What it is to be lead by the Spirit. First, in order to be lead by the Spirit one must have the Spirit within them. Of course we have our soul and our own mind, but the Spirit of God (the Holy Ghost, or the Holy Spirit), does not reside in everybody. So hourney with me, as I lead you through a series of understandings.
God is one, yet there is a Trinity, as I explained in one of my responses to you.
He is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
The three things that co-inside with that, that defines God as God is that. . .God is Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent.

Thanks Al for the offer. That’s fascinating to be lead by a spirit. I’d like to hear more about that.
Yes you are right. I found mistakes upon mistakes in the texts I am reading. I use the Tanakh which is the Jewish version of the Old Testament and has explanations how Jewish people explain the events; and I am comparing it with the translated versions of the Old Testament in different bibles and guess what: the translations are bad and misleading and my text I have to read uses that. Obviously the one who wrote the text didn’t consult with a rabbi, or with any Old Testament scholars. It is very upsetting since I had to pay money to study and now I am finding mistakes and misleading information and I refuse to accept them. I was even thinking to write to the authors to do their homework and re-write the textbook.
I agree, science and religion have to be intertwined. Thanks again Al.

Beatrice, I would consider it an honor that you would come to me if you had ANY questions regarding the Bible, in general.
I don’t know it all but I been lead by a spirit that has satisfied the hardest questions I have ever asked about life, Creation and God.
I’m a bit weary of University studies because. . .I think its schoolastic measure can be better defined in spiritual truth. And even as far as the Atheists go, and their live for science, I like science too, but it needs to be associated with the One who is the greatest scientist of all.
Shout me.

Hi Al,
Good to hear from you and I agree 100% what you said. I am studying the Old Testament in a university level course and we just finished the Exodus part. I was amazed to find out how many different names the ancient Jews called their God when in fact He was always the same just like you explained the Trinity. But for people like Miriam, it would take a long time to explain it, as she blocked her mind on one aspect. How are you Al? Are you still designing cars for the future? Good to hear from you.

Hi Beatrice,
I just wanted to drop in and say “hi.”
I read the last reply in your Profile concerning the Interview Post.
I am very understanding to what you mean about how harsh Christian Americans can be toward Muslims. I don’t think, though, that it is a biasism that stems from actual
religions, or what it is to be of different faith - I think it’s just good old fasioned
human weakness in general.
I am Christian, and as such, I am supposed to be inviting and accomodating to others including those that would be my enemy.
Anyway, two items I would like to point out when it comes to the Trinity, is, it does not take many pages to explain it. I will simply explain it here -
God is one. There is only one God. The Trinity does not mean there are three gods, but one God. You are one person. You are Beatrice. You are a daughter. You are a wife. You are a mother -
escentially you are all these. . .persons, but are still one. Simple.
And the Old Testement did fortell the deliverance of the promise that mans sins would be forgiven by the Prince of Peace.
The prophets of the Old Testement DID follow and believe in that.
And that promise was delivered through Jesus, as Christ, in the New Testement.
I hope I wasn’t too boring.
:)

Hi Al, my condolences. When our parents are gone, we feel really vulnerable.

Bea, is your condition someting you are willing to let me know of? You’re situation is a little vauge - other than you’re in the hospital and in enough pain that you need medication (honestly, that’s saing enough, already - you don’t have to feel obligated.)

Thanks Al, yes I have family and friends, colleagues who are supporting me all the way. Yes, I woke up screaming with pain, wanting to rip out the IV but they were fast enough to increase the dose so the next thing I remembered is to wake up all done and felt no pain. One more month and I will be fine. I can’t wait. Sorry to hear about your mom. Is she still alive?

If it’s any consulation, I will be praying for you. Perhaps something you should know - my mom underwent three open heart surgeries in her lifetime. Durring one of the proceedures, she said she had “woke up.”
Strangely, she said, it wasn’t a big deal. . .
I suppose I should have been my mother to figure out that one.
Anyway, yeah. . .medications are rough, dear. But I’m sure you have much family support and also friends - not to include those (like me:D) that are on-line to help get you through.

Hi Al. I will have my surgery on the 4th of August, something I already had once but woke up during surgery because they didn’t give me enough IV to sleep. That’s why I was terrified of the thought about waking up again. This time I will be in a different hospital with different doctor. This doctor is a very good one. In the meantime I have to have shots twice a month and have to take a high dose of medication which makes me not only puffed up but also very emotional. One more month to go and then I will be OK. Thanks for your care.
