My bro & sis still live with my folk’s, my sis & her partner bought a house about 5 yrs ago but they’ve pretty much knocked it down & re built it, my parent’s leave her alone for the most part (she’s perfect, she’s the oldest, but she set the standard too high, i could never live up to that) she get’s on with them both great, alway’s has, daddy’s little angel & all that crap.
They still hastle my bro but he won’t move out coz he’s got it too easy there, pay’s $30 / $40 a week, washing, ironing, cleaning done for him, all meal’s cooked for him etc.
When i lived near them i got constant hastle for everything (but if i let the grass get too long in my garden, it drove my dad mad so he’d come round & cut it, then do a bit of general gardening so that was good) but it’s like they’ll never see me as an adult, ive seen more, done more, been through more & experienced more than them or any of the family but im still treated like a kid.
They really go overr the top with ‘i told you so’s’.

Mine are the same, im the youngest of 3 & i left home at 15, i didn’t see them again til i was 21 & coz they missed out on so much of my growing up, they still see me as a kid, they interfear with everything i do, i can’t stick it so i moved a long way away, i just go there once or twice a year to see them & my old friend’s, it’s about as much as i can handle of my old life, i couldn’t go back there & they never come to see me, they don’t like travel & im too far away for them.
Thing is, when i go back there, they make me feel like a kid & i have to justify everything about myself & my life.

I hide everything around my folk’s, i won’t even smoke for a few hour’s before i go there, it’s a good job i usually only see them once / twice a year!
They’re on a need to know basis & they need to know nothing about my life.
I only told them a month ago im in the US!
My dad didn’t even believe me.

It’s just such a complicated system to get on, it goes through the TV but there’s load’s of remote’s & it all get’s confusing, then thing’s were disconected, im not entirely sure what i did so i don’t think ill be any wiser next time i try :/

Well, those formulas look a like some of the shannon-nyquist formulas from their research on signal entropy from back in the bell labs days.

It makes sense to an extent. I’m not entirely certain what the context of your noise and message are, so I’ll relate them to signaling… wave theory really. In signalling, noise is a much more general term than is applicable, so I’ll be referring to it as interference.

Interference that causes a shift on the x-axis is generally caused by a change in the medium. i.e. new material, temperature change, etc. Interference that causes a shift in the y-axis is generally caused by the intersection of multiple waveforms. i.e. additive coloration, electromagnetic interference, signal reflection, etc.

I’m unaware of an environmental condition that can cause a shift along both axis. A medium change would cause an anisotropic shift along the x, an intersection would cause an anisotropic shift along the y.

If only one element exists, a control signal can be sent and the level and nature of the interference can be diagnosed. If both elements exist (for instance an electric motor too close to an unshielded cable, causing both a drastic increase in the temperature of the cabling and intersections of the electromagnetic fields of the cabling and the motor), sending a control signal alone will not diagnose the nature of the interference. The shift in x will be consistent (or change at a consistent rate), and the shift in y will be patterned (ignoring emi from other sources)… because the shifts are caused by different elements, and the elements are each only capable of causing a shift along one axis or the other, the shift along one axis cannot be used to predict or correct for the shift along the other.

The crux of it is that an anisotropic shift is directionally dependent. A shift in x can only cause a shift in x, so a patterned shift or random shift in x can only be used to predict changes along the x axis. If x and y both experience random shifts the control information is insufficient to correct for the interference.

With a proper control signal designed to evaluate only one axis at a time such complications can easily be overcome (one of the reasons we use nyquist-fourier and digital reconstruction to perform what would have once been analog communications).

I’m not sure if I’ve answered your question or introduced further uncertainty to the subject.

Well, for example when the anisotropy of x given y (when x is the original message and y is the message after getting transmitted) is 0, that means the noise in the transmission was predictable and thus you could find x using y at 100% correctness, and when the anisotropy of x given y equals the anisotropy of x plus the anisotropy of y that means the noise got the message randomly scrambled and you couldn’t tell anything about x.

In formula:
H(x|y)=0 => Predictable noise.
H(x|y)=H(x)+H(y) => Randomizing noise.
[As in, when the probabilities are independent, or something).

Does this make any sense? Or perhaps you didn’t study anything like these formulas?

Last exam will be tonight in a couple of hours. If I can just find an apartment I can take a whole month off from thinking, and I think I could really use that right around now. Typed out 16 pages of term paper last night.
