  Loving who people think you are is not the same as loving yourself.
  
  Everyone hides in themselves, that’s natural.
  
  However, it’s not a reason to give in either. Things get hard, but when are they ever easy? what you are doing to yourself isn’t worth it. You lose more than you gain. So next time you ‘can’t stop’, rethink it, and actually stop. The only thing that’s making you do it is yourself, not an ‘addiction’. Cutting isn’t chemical, liek nicotine, you’re body doesn’t need it, in fact,, it rejects it. It’s in your mind that you need it, so think about it, and stop.
  
  It’s not easy, no. It won’t be a gloriously revealing moment either. It won’t be that point of toatl relief that songs and movies make it out to be. But it will end. And that is the only thing that needs to happen.

• I am a 19 year old guy that needs advice on how to take control of my life.
  

  If you need money to get out of your parent’s house in the least, start small. Try a convienence store where they take long shifts. I know this sounds mediocre but I work 6-12 hour shifts daily and make well over 200 a week. I know this isn’t enough to live on but it is better than nothing. You can start there just to get some cash moving and get your feet on the ground.
  
  I’m still in High School but I’m in the same boat because I have to leave (parent’s rules) as soon as I graduate. I have to have everything set up and paid for before hand. As far as steps it takes to get some of your own things set up for when you move out, take it slow and start easy. You can go to a bank that will be close to your area and open up a checking account. If you can prove that you are a student, most banks will wave the set up fee as a student discount. I went to the bank in my toen and set up an account in less than 30 min. Then you apply for checks and a debit card (if you want one). I prefer my debit card for time reasons and because I have problems with my hands. However, checks can get you in MAJOR trouble. I try to never let my account get below $100 on my small income so I can always have a little money JUST IN CASE. I also don’t spend a lot of money just because I have it. This is a hard thing to learn but you need to practice saving the money you work for.
  
  Once you get rolling on this little income, then you can save enough to move to where you will be going to school. You might have to get another little job there that is ‘nothing’ but they pay and that is all that matters. Most little places will hire anybody. Where do you think teenagers get their first jobs? It will take a while but eventually you can start moving your way up in the work world. If you work well even in a small place then you can get good recommendations and one “so and so is the hardest worker I know” is better than any high school diploma.
  
  With your mom doing your paper work you will never learn how to take control. You need to TAKE the papers from her. Push for the ability to do your own work. Life is all a bunch of paper work and you better learn now where you can still ask questions.

  Precisely! Though I’m a girl, not a guy, I still would strangle the man’s manhood.
  
  Telling your dad is the best option dear. You can try to handle it on your own, and if he goes away then you won’t have a problem. But if you try to handle it once and he persists a second time, then you need to tell your dad. If he continues to bother you then it is appropriate for you to bring in a stronger force.

  I don’t know exactly what you should do but I could tell you a little about her side of the story? I remember once when I was with/not with a guy I loved. He had been distant for a while and though he told me he wanted to fix it he never showed it. I was visiting my mom one time and I was hanging out with an old friend. We were just relaxing like we used to, my head on his lap and watching a movie. However, he started to just be nice to me. He told me I looked beautiful laying like I was and he kissed me. I knew in my heart it was wrong because he wasn’t Daniel… but my mind and body overruled me. My mind said ‘this guy is being nice to you when Daniel won’t. He really likes you. he wants you NOW’ and my body simply missed the feel of a soft touch. One thing led to another and I ended up making out with him (nothing else). He tasted all wrong and felt odd but no matter how strange he was I just told myself it was because he was unfamiliar. I wanted to feel that touch again. I went home that night and cried myself to sleep feeling so horrible that I couldn’t make myself wake up. The next day I called Daniel and told him. He was angry but he also said ‘we aren’t officially together so I guess I can’t tell you what to do’. Even though he gave me that freedom, I hated myself for taking it in the first place.
  
  My suggestion is to at least talk to her. All these people telling you to just leave don’t understand that every situation is different. No matter what she says, do NOT forget that she is wrong… but because she is wrong doesn’t mean she always will be the same. I have never cheated on anyone since that night and it’s because it hit me so hard. I was so mad at myself for what I had done. It is worth talkign to her because even though what she did is never going to be right, she might be able to be forgiven. Read my story and take it with ayou and when you talk to her, try to see it from her side. Tryt o see if you could understand. If you can’t, then she was completely wrong and you don’t need to try to fix what’s been broken for far too long. But if she in genuine, honest and really is sorrowful then perhaps it was a one time thing from lonliness. Sometimes, humans just get lonely and we can’t help it. When you go to talk to her, say ‘hi’ be gentle and no matter how your feeligns are hurt and you want to yell or cry, ask her: ‘tell me what happened’. Just ask for the story. Then decide if your feeligns before were accurate. After you hear the story you may feel that you blew it out of proportion. However, you may also feel that you were being to easy on her. No matter the situation, she is wrong, but the level of wrong and how remoursful she is can make a world of difference.
  
  If you do work it out and all gets better, forgive her and promis to forget. After this, if you ever get mad at one another again, don’t bring it up and throw it in her face. She’ll think you were always bitter at her and she will feel like you never loved her the same after it. Once something has been forgiven, (whatever it is) then there is no sense in bringing it back up. Remember that for any situation.
  
  Hope I helped some, at least more than “dump her sorry @ss”.Cheating is wrong… but every situation deserves to be looked at from all angles.
