I recently sat down to learn the Beatles song “Come Together” on the drums. I love that tune. It took me about an hour to get all the pieces, about another hour to put the pieces in order. Then I thought, well….I wonder how hard the bass line is? So I learned it in the bass as well.

It truly is a way to relax, or relieve stress. Sometimes I just close my eyes and go with the groove……

Im 33 now, start playing kit in 9th grade. I had a ten year period where I had no kit. If I had the money, I had no place to practice. If I had a place to practice, I had no money. I got a kit about a year ago, and have been loving it! In fact I just picked up a new one. Gretsch Maple 6 piece that I added a Pearl maple piccolo snare to…Anyway….The bass is something I do for fun! I’ve been playing it on and off for about 2 years.

Dude, I like your post! The “bible-thumpers” on this site can get a bit extreme in thier point of view. But its still fun to pick with them from time to time! :-) I particularly apreciate your comment on open mindedness. Check out this post. Its a long read, but there are some cool view points there.
