Every election I seek for a decent candidate and end up choosing the “lessor” of evils! Problem: No one measures up. No one can fix us. We are corrupt individually and that reflects itself corporally in our nation. Thankfully, my hopes and dreams are not pinned on the prosperity of the USA….. although I want the best for my country, I am under no illusion that my country is the source of my security and well being.

Give love….. and you will be loved. Yes, you will be ignored by some, mistreated by others and maybe even betrayed. But the sacrificial service towards others in loving and showing love is truly a self-less act. Habitually extending yourself will contribute to your own esteem as well.

The apocraphal (or so called hidden books) were not generally recieved by the early followers of Christ because of their inconsistencies amoung themselves as well as with the other books that had been received, I.E. the books of the OT and the writings of the NT Apostles. The writings should be treated just as you would any other literature….considering the historical background, a close examination of the grammer, syntax, word studies (keeping in mind word “usage” in the culture and time it was written), etc. With that “exegetical” approach, understanding that some of the books are history, some poetry and some prophetic, the books of the Old and New Testament are amazingly consistent throughout. This, notwithstanding the efforts of many to discredit its contents. However, this was NOT a post about “higher criticism!” It was a post about relational forgiveness on the basis of God’s having forgiven us. Cheers!

Los, Change the name and the place and I was there several years ago. Its NOT the SAME exact situation, to be sure, but very similar. You are kind, generous, and willing to be a good friend. Those attributes are absolutely fabulous. Sometimes, maybe most of the time right now, others dont reciprocate or recognize what you do or who you are. This is discouraging and can make you feel even more lonely. Take some more time for yourself and find some balance. Do some things that you enjoy and stay personally refreshed. Try to surround yourself with at least one or two (they are so hard to find and harder to keep) genuine friends to stay encouraged. But don’t stop being you! The world needs you and even if they are ungrateful and indifferent what you DO makes a huge difference. You have to know that and go on. Have a great day!

Lil shi…. no one likes being crapped on…..well, I dont think so anyway. And it is normal to want to take revenge. I would say that is the most natural reaction I have……maybe its the Terminator in me or the Bruce Willis!!! (LOL) I am forced to ask myself, though, what I really hope to gain from revenge and how that will contribute to my well being long term. Other than the temporary gratification of watching my enemies “burn” LOL I’m not sure there is much value RELATIONALLY here. HOWEVER, What you are talking about sounds more like a responsible parent doing what is right for her children more than revenge. I dont think that even falls into the same catagory. Have a great day!
