Absolutely not. Those boot cd’s “restore” have drivers in them specific to the model of pc they were designed for. Dont waste your time. Your better off d/l’ing the drivers on a friends machine, and burning them to disk. If you need help, email me at (email removed)

Im assuming this is a laptop? If so, try unpluggin the battery from the unit and then plugging it in. If it runs, then it was the battery. If it doesnt.. then its something different. Perhaps the motherboard.

Good luck, youll never fully remove aol software from any pc without reinstalling windows. You can however, uninstall it in “add remove programs” and delete it from your registry. It will always linger somewhere in your pc though. =/
