  I hope so much that you are still here. I wish I could crawl into your brain and flip a switch so you see that you have value, and that nothing is worth killing yourself over. If you are a kid now,it is over in such a short time, and you’ll be an adult forever. You can make it. How you feel and where you are now, is not where you will be in the future. It will get better I promise you. Hang in there. Get help. Tell someone in your family, at your school, in your life, how you feel. You are worth so much more than you even know! I’m sending positive thoughts your way.

  Number One: stop cutting yourself. Sit down and write out your feelings when you feel like cutting. When you’re an adult, and trust me you will become one, every day that goes by you are closer and closer, you will look at those cuts and hate them. It will limit the clothes you can wear, conversations you can have etc. It is so not worth it. You feel number, and need to bleed to feel anything. Why? Why did you shut down in the first place? Who hurt you enough, neglected you enough, abused you enough, to make you stop feeling? Please get help for whoever/whatever hurt you to begin with. You are a person with a future, that has value! Many postive thoughts coming your way!

• What is a healthy way of expressing anger?
  

  Screaming into a pillow could help release the initial anger. What are you angry about though? Just generally angry? Are you feeling angry because it’s easier and more protective than feeling sad, depressed, helpless etc? Try to get to the route of your angry feelings, and know that it’s ok to feel and awesome that you look for constructive help for these feelings. You must be a pretty cool person!

  There’s a good book out called “fat is not a feeling”. It’s pretty awesome. I wish I could help your friend. Anorexia is so damaging to your body. Very few people die from it, and the rest suffer in recovery if it goes on for too long. I was anorexic and bulemic for over 10 years, and when I finally started eating and taking better care of myself, everything I ate went right through me. I had horrible burning pains in my stomach, etc. The sad thing about this disease is, it actually makes you feel better to starve, or at least you think you feel better. I actually caught myself 3 days ago going back into the pattern. Skipping breakfast, buzzing around my house amped up on coffee. Higher than a kite on pure starving adrenalin. At least I recognized the old ED demon raising it’s head, and today i’m feeling better. I would do whatever it takes to help your friend, because you are saving her life. It’s passive suicide when you’re anorexic/bulemic.

  You are in a cycle of depression and need help immediately. I know it’s scary to change, and to get help but you are so worth it! Your whole life is in front of you! You are only a kid for 3 more years. I say ditch anyone who makes you feel like crap, and focus on taking care of yourself. good luck sweetie!
