bet thats it.. can i clear the codes now, or is it too late? what about replacing the cpu ( i can get one for about $100)
I have checked every other reasonable cause for the stalling, this is the last thing i can think of. ps, the did the update, and then replaced the cat about a month later

yes the update could be bad if you don’t clear old codes out of the cpu before updating it could send a bad signal back

okay, looking for confirmation on this…
my 96 jeep just got recall work done for a bad sensor program for the cat. the cat was bad, and they replaced it and did the cpu update. now, am i wrong, or could the cat being bad, and the cpu not reading it, have affected one of the o2 sensor, and cause the stalling i am getting sometimes?
