  In all seriousness, like Dr. Jackson said, in 10 years it’s really not going to matter. When you do feel like you are ready, be cautious. Go on birth control. Use a condom. Otherwise the list that ReeDeeDee posted can unfortunately become a reality.

  What’s there to figure out? People in general dress how they’re most comfortable. I still can’t figure out why some men wear gold jewelry and wifebeaters and have tribal tattoos, but I’m certainly not losing any sleep over it.
  
  And you may not be “bashing” lesbians, but I have a feeling you don’t have very many (if any) lesbians in your life. Not a single one of my lesbian friends/co-workers has any issues with men. Like Daft Puck said, it has nothing to do with respect, it’s about attraction.

  You can research all you want, but when it comes to love, it doesn’t matter how prepared you think that you are. I’m in a similar boat, in my late 20’s and it seems like all of the men I’ve dated within the past year are either divorcees with kids and LOTS of baggage, or men who have very little experience with women. Good men are hard to come by. Good men who don’t live in their parents’ basements are even harder to come by, apparently! Best of luck to you!

  I’m not familiar with Ginette, but with most BC’s you can skip them. The purpose of the placebo pills is to keep you in the habbit of taking the pill, it does not contain hormones. However, some birth controls put iron in the placebos because of the iron that you lose during your period.

  It’s custom for a guest to cover at least the cost of the plate. $50 would be a breath of fresh air compared to the $150 - $200 I usually end up shelling out at a wedding. However, asking for a specific amount is tacky and rude.
  
  When people ask you what you want it’s ok to tell them that money is what will truly help you out at this time. It’s not ok to give them a price.

  I would find a job, contact somone about low income housing and get the hell out of dodge. No use sticking around in a relationship like that.
