2012-11-28 14:08:22 on What is the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen?
This was a brilliant idea for a post, especially with everyone being so down lately.
The most beautiful things I’ve experienced:
When I was younger, I went camping with my sister, her husband, 2 brothers, their girlfriends, and my nephew who was about 2 at the time. He was so tired but he just would not fall asleep. No one could get him to go to bed. He sat on my lap, cuddled right into me, and just stayed there. I asked him if he wanted to lay down or read a story, and he said no, so we just sat there. Within 10 minutes, he was fast asleep. It was incredible how much effort everyone put into getting him to go to bed when all he really wanted was for someone to hold him.
My sister is such a strong woman. She was diagnosed back in February with cancer. I thought for sure that she wouldn’t be around for Christmas. She gave birth to her daughter in March then started chemotherapy. She was allergic to the pain medication they gave her, and she cried all of the time because she was upset about her hair falling out. I thought it was silly for her to be so worried about her hair when her life was in danger, but I listened to her little concerns anyways. In July, she had a brain aneurysm and had to undergo brain surgery. She was in the hospital for a little over 5 weeks. The whole time all I could think about was that my niece and nephew would no longer have their mom. That I wouldn’t have my big sister to call whenever I needed someone to talk to, a shoulder to cry on, a best friend. I’d been calling her since September when she got out of the hospital (she wasn’t up for visitors or I would have gone to see her). Her white blood cell count was 500 (for a normal person it’s between 5,000 and 10,000) so she wasn’t allowed to go anywhere once she got out of the hospital. Every time I called, she was sleeping or really wasn’t up to talking. I called her on Thanksgiving and she talked to me for over an hour. It was magical to hear her talk. She sounded just like she did before she found out she had cancer. She told me she only has 2 treatments left. I’m so happy that I’ll have my sister here for Christmas, and hopefully many more to come.
My husband saying “I love you”. When we first met, I thought there was no way that a guy that amazing could ever even like me. Now, I wake up every morning in his arms. He kisses me, hugs me, and shows me how much he loves me. It’s incredible.
you are a lucky person ^^ you feel so much love.

My little niece and nephew when they laugh and when I hug them so tight that I can feel they are part of my being. the second best a yellow rose garden I once visited when I was a little child. it was so beautiful that I even now I can vividly imagine it.

2012-09-23 04:07:24 on Why are women/men attracted to older people?
I think its coz guys in that age are more mature so they probably are more stable in their feelings about some1.

actually I am an English teacher and I have four years of experience. After getting my MA degree I can teach at uni but I can only teach general English courses and the pay is very low. by getting a PhD degree I can have a secure job as a tenure professor.

well I liked English literature. I am planning to be a university professor but still I am not sure if its the right choice. I am passionate about arts but I am not sure if I can afford a living with that.
2012-09-10 01:05:16 on How do you solve Chronic Laziness?
sometimes the cause of laziness is sth deeper. for ex you might be tired and you need to take a break. it also possible that you feel hurt or you’re afraid of doing sth. then you won’t feel motivated to do it. so you should see what is the real cause of laziness.

2012-09-06 11:21:30 on If your depressed, stressed, sad, lonely, lost, trapped, feeling ugly or hated etc

Siren when sth goes wrong I think I am guilty for that and I keep criticizing myself. I am also very sensitive tend to take things personally that is why I get easily hurt. for all these reasons I do not like to be in new social situations. I know that I have to overcome this coz I am a teacher. any practical advice or solutions?
Eel, first, look at the problem with guilt. 1. Is it your fault/ is there anything you could have done to prevent it? When my friend kelsey passed away from cancer, I felt guilty. There was no way I could have stopped the cancer, nothing I could have done, but I had survivors guilt. I felt like it was my fault though it defenitly was not.
2. If it is your fault, did it hurt anyone (Other then yourself)
If it did, just think about it, was it a big deal? Did it strain some relationships? if so, Just go apologize. It takes courage, but it always seems to work better for me then any underhand sneaky solution.
3. your problem on criticizing yourself.
GOOD. Criticizing yourself is good, it helps self-improvement and allows us to get help where we need it. by seeing all these issues, you are criticizing yourself. but its only good to a certain point. find your faults and pledge to work on them, dont hate on yourself constantly for not being perfect.
4. Sensitivity.
being overly sensitive is hard, especially for a teacher. depending what age group you teach, you will get some bad eggs that want to drive you nuts. just ignore them and if they get out of control, send them out. You dont HAVE to keep them there, if they destroy the class, remove them. Take everything like its NOT directed at you, like a joke or such. makes life much easier.
thank you for the advice :)

2012-09-05 01:27:01 on What do you think about Iran and Iranians?
The Sherlockian I think It’s very positive to find you have such a mindset about war and have the awareness. believe me every time an American soldier is killed my mom get upset and says that as a mother she knows how much pain the soldier’s mother would feel.
I totally agree with your friend that politics, media and religion are the worst evils on earth. mostly media are used as a means for politics to divide people to turn a group to a mass and make these groups hate each other. certainly talking to you as an American soldier is enlightening coz it’s real even in virtual world. it makes us more understanding.as long as people do not talk to get to know each other we would have ignorant people like Taliban. in qoran its mentioned that even in following Islam there is no obligation. first study it, think abt it then follow otherwise its like you are deaf.

and Goodfella I never hate you :) I just objected to the way you talked about Iranians.
