  he was probably busy or caught up with something. Sounds like he wants to see you again. When he says spending time he means getting to know you better. Lastly I would encourage you to call him and be civil with him, there’s probably a reason for the non-call.

  Yeah, there was no way for you to avoid her crying. That intimacy you provided in wake of the news with her mom having cancer was going to be a painful loss. However she should take solace in the fact that your repect her and her feelings and you want to remain in her life. I consider that very admirable. Some folks would have cut ties and let her sort out that situation alone. In terms of what your friend told you is very much true. You want to know when its over in any relationship? One or both parties STOP fighting or arguing. On the surface these arguments are destructive and many times unhelpful, but on the very least it says that they care. When someone refuses to participate or doesn’t care anymore its really over. You can’t change the way you are so don’t ever change how you feel. If anything you should embrace that and continue to let your feelings and your ideas define you. I’ve had many a situation “burn” me when I was merely being the nice guy or the caring type. Sometimes I wanted to “rip out this heart of mine” but I later realized that would be changing the person I was and I liked who I was so I just toned the kind and caring down a little and became less available so I didn’t wind up in the “friend zone” as often as I did.   Yes she likes you. She definately trying to be more cuddly and all that good stuff. Its evident that she’s comfortable with you and has verbally stated a void in her life not having you as a close friend or maybe a void of something more. If your interested in something more theres definately promise there. Again, if your interested just tell her how you feel and ask how she really feels about you. Lastly, find out what she wants between you and her. Luck.

  Try not to feel guilty for your decision to live with your Dad. If you felt that living with your Dad would have been an easier situation for both you and your Mom and thats where you felt most comfortable then you shouldn’t feel guilty. I am also from a divorced family so I know how its like. I can tell you that its best to concentrate on yourself and let the parents figure out there own issues. Life is hard, and extremely hard when people get divorced. Divorce as most of us know is about compromise. Losing elements of the family unit as they once knew it is just a part of the divorce process. No other saying or analogy fits better than the one heard most with divorce. No one wins in a divorce. No one. Comfort your mother, but make sure you let yourself be a kid/young adult, however old you are. Make sure you live your life.

  I agree with the above comment. Looking at others is just part of human nature. There will be times where you yourself will find another guy other than your boyfriend attractive. But the main thing to remember is that he didn’t act on it. As long as one doesn’t act on it. It’s ok to look and it’s very normal. You both discussed it and your b/f is open and honest with you. So that’s a very good sign going forward. Remember, just because your “not hungry” (in a relationship) doesn’t mean you can’t “look at the menu” (stare or glance at people you find attractive). Ordering from the menu is something entirely different however. I hope this helps.

  Sadly this looks to be the beginning of the end. It’s very difficult to maintain that (age gap) relationship while in school. The issue mainly lies on what each other wants at that stage in life. Perhaps, he’s trying to really live it up his senior year and you maybe still finding yourself as sophmore. I hate to say this but if he’s putting a priority of his friends over you then it’s the beginning of the end. I would feel fortunate though, that this happened now. Because imagine how you would feel when he left for school and you were still in high school. Consider all the heartache you would avoid since this happened now rather than later.
