• (1 vote) Since high school, i’ve suffered from schizophrenia, depression, and post traumatic stress disorder that greatly affects my life even now.
  

  Last fall one of my fellow freshmen in college was bipolar, not being treated properly (drinking and self-medicating), and also had unsupportive parents. It was difficult for him to make good friends (not just people to party with) and he was really lonely. This is probably a really depressing story but the point I’m trying to make is that the most important thing to get you through your first year of college is having someone that you can talk to and trust to take care of you if things get bad. I definitely encourage you to give college a try, just make sure you don’t isolate yourself in the process.

  Update: My class is over with! I got a B on this paper because it was half-finished and half-rough, but he said it would have been headed towards an A if I’d finished it properly. I turned in my last paper on time (yay!) even though I had to stay up all night on my birthday, and got an A-.

  You’re looking waaaaay too far ahead. If you’re busy thinking about all of this you won’t be able to pay attention to this guy and actually get to know him. There’s plenty to focus on in the present without freaking yourself out about the future.

  I do the same thing! Remember this is not your only chance. Whatever happens, it’s going to be okay. If it’s not a good date, it’s no big deal. Just be yourself and see if it clicks! Try to have a good time :)

  It’s for my Southern Women Literature class. The paper is about three short stories by Flannery O’Connor, “Greenleaf,” “Everything that Rises Must Converge,” and “Revelation.”
  I’m arguing that the main female characters in each story use class distinction to make themselves feel superior to others and avoid seeing their own moral corruption.
