  To talk about what? Counselours are fantastic people, and it seems to me that the majority of people go to them not realising what their issues are- you seem confused, and personally I think talking to a professional can only ever be a good thing, even for somebody who is mentally healthy.

  This debate has two really interesting sides, thank you all for contributing to it- I think I’m going to forgive this person and simply move on, simply because it’s what I’ve always done in times such as these.
  
  I can understand our intrinsic need for justice as mature and healthy individuals, but at the same time can one really class vengeance on the same level as justice? Does destroying the man that wronged you make it a just action, or is it simply more destructiveness piled on a separate issue?
  
  There was only one reply which truly gave me trouble, and that was the one concerning karma:

  I’ve never seen any karmic penalty to anybody who has ever done wrong- and as a journalist that is a pretty long list of people. Sure, these people are generally universally despised, but they’re just as likely to have bad things happen to them as ‘good’ people.
  
  Anyway, I digress; thank you all for replying to this topic- it’s been very informative and has helped me reach a reasoned conclusion to the issue which has been plaguing me for days.

  This is a good point, but would you really want one of these entry-level jobs, in which you will toil for little money, and even less respect. As a graduate there will be infinitely more possibilities and oppertunities, which people who cut their education short simply don’t have.
  
  The easiest way to get into a job, or even an industry which you want to be in is to get a degree. The easiest way to spend 40 years as a cleaner and retire with no pension is to get a job now.

  Who cares if someone ‘has a bit of a crush on’ your boyfriend- take it as a complement: Your boyfriend is desireable enough that other women want to be with him, and yet he’s WITH you. Surely that says something- and even if you don’t think it does, just remember that people tend not to go around cheating on one another as a casual occurance.
  
  If you can trust him, then who cares- if you can’t trust him, why are you with someone who you don’t trust?

• Dilemma…
  

  The only thing opposites attract in the long run is divorce.
  
  Still, if it’s not a serious/long term thing, then I say: Go for it!
  
  At the end of the day, the only thing worth regretting is an oppertunity you never took, and even if the relationship turns out to have an unhealthy juxtaposition of personalities- who can it possibly hurt?
