So here I am, 25, not much in the way of formal education but getting paid quite well for a job I do well. Golden handcuffs… oh how they feel so good but hurt so bad.
The problem is the owners don’t know to invest their money with a clear plan so we are now under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. My current job as Production Planner is to order and manage the inventory of the one product that makes our entire facility run. A good/poor decision on my part can mean thousands of dollars profits/losses on a daily basis.
I enjoy my job and all of the people I work with, but the circumstances (financial) that I need to perform my job under are overwhelming.
Basically I’m in the midst of my first career change and I’m freaked out.
My personal life is great. I have a girlfriend of over 4 years that I live with and love immensely. We will follow each other wherever we need to go to fulfill our goals and are there to support each other.
