hey thank you! yeah, being raised a Catholic had me thinking about theology alot at a young age since Catholicism holds so many very strong convictions. I suppose you could say that i am agnostic now, but there is nothing ambivalent about my beliefs. there simply isn’t a name for them. Perhaps it’s just called Logic. ;)

anyway, it was nice to meet you and i really liked your post. it’s a shame how so many people of this world not only simply accept whatever belief they are born into, they also don’t even put forth the effort to use their beliefs in a positive manner. too many people in this world use religion as a vehicle for discrimination and hate.

and i’m gonna go check out that band right now. ;)

I might’ve been through Idaho at some point in time. I’m staying with my parents right now — and they do multiple bike tours every summer (they have at least 2 or 3 recumbent tandems) — so I figured initially it’d be really cool having somone stop by from a long ride, but… then I remembered they don’t even want me here, and I don’t even talk to them… I got a bit confused. But anyway, I’m in Littleton, right by Columbine high school, easily findable on a map. Boulder is a very cool town — I looked at a map that other day but couldn’t see what sort of route you might obviously be taking.

Thanks friend… not a problem :) I have found racism is not a discussion for everyone. The unfortunate thing is that people like you and I cannot generally start this conversation and keep order there, because there will come someone from a radical fraction that will scream their views. It’s just an example that racism is not yet beat. But you and I working together will go a long distance before we die :)

Wow!!! That music institute place looks amazing! Just looked it up! It is totally different to what I normally do though. I have a diploma in performance, and am doing my Licensiate at the moment, and thats basically the highest I can get, so my plan is to stick with working on classical, while dabbling in everything else, and gradually become more and more involved in other music. I do love classical, though I know many don’t, and I think that if you can become really good at classical stuff and technique, it stands to you then when you perform more modern music.

My fingers are the same length!!! I am used to streching all of them from piano. And in violin, even the left ones are being used and constantly subtly moving (holding the bow). I dunno, I think my friends understand. At times they get annoyed because I sometimes choose to perfect a composition or an arrangement of a piece rather than go out. They get really annoyed and start giving out and saying that it’s perfect and why the hell do I need to perfect it even more when I could just go out! But they don’t get what it’s like to be a musician and a perfectionist! Heh heh. So yeah, I do understand you! But naturally I have a lot of friends who are dedicated musicians, so they understand!

Hah hah! Thanks, I guess! Well, I play violin (since I was 3), piano, and I sing. And I have taught myself a few songs on guitar, and hopefully some day when I have time I can teach myself some more. Music is basically my life!!! I am always practising or composing or arranging or listening to music. I listen to all music as I am of the strong belief that to be a good musician, you have to be versatile and not stick to one type of music. But I mainly play classical and jazz, and popular etc. Once I hear a song once, I can play it, and people are always fascinated by that! Or even if I haven’t heard it, I can just play along. I have a particular liking for film music as well!!!
