  Well, in fact the ideal thing to do would be completely not in contact with him, at least until things within yourself cools down. He may seems helpful to your career, but the truth is if you are feeling the way you are feeling right now because of him, perhaps he is doing more harm to you than good?

  yes, my girlfriend will be taking ona part-time job in thailand just to keep things above water for now. For me, its not that I am not making enough to sustain, it’s just with my income it is alittle hard to to extra especially I am going to wire her money every month. As for rent I am paying roughly $500 for a single including utility so I consider that cheap already.
  
  Parents are around but help from them regarding this situation is a little tough as they oppose to our relationship. There are plans to finish my engineering degree back in US. but, again that takes money as I am not a US citizen so I am working on that. As for now, I just want to take care of my girlfriend and have her by myside. Everything is easier without several thousand miles of ocean between us.

  Wow, I was once in your exact position. But I disobeyed my parents and went ahead onto searching for my now ex-girlfriend. I flew from Taipei(Asia) to Los Angeles which I have never being to, in order to find her. Now, we have broken up, but I do not regret even just a little because even if it was the wrong and stupid decision at least it was MY OWN stupid and wrong decision. Not my parents. So you have to make ur choice of whether to give-up and follow ur parents or be all on ur own in search of him. No one knows which one is right for you, only yourself.

  I have not read your previous post so excuse me if my reply is off, but sounds like your not over your break-up with your ex. According to this post if he has dumped you, and leaving you feeling this way, he does not deserve you to cry yourself to sleep over him. Someone I loved dearly once told me, “Think with your head, Not with your heart” If you know what you should do, then follow what your head is telling you instead of giving in into your emotions. However it turns out, I wish you the best luck!

  My girlfriend actually gave up the visa/greencard process for me. She is working on getting the greencard with a fictitious marriage. If she gets married that way for the greencard, due the immigration process in US we would not be able to be together. I will be 4500 miles across the Pacific from her. So it came to a point where she has to choose me or her future, I guess she picked me.
  
  As for working on going to a English speaking country, I do not have a college degree and neither am I rich, so I would assume that it wouldn’t really be the easy way out. Above that I have to bring her their as well. As for Thailand, I have thought about that, but the income level there is just too low according to world standards.
  
  My father is Japanese, thats how I am a Japanese national. My mother is Taiwanese. I was born in Japan but I grew up in Taiwan, Taipei with my mother going to an international school since 1st grade. So all of my educations have being in English. After I graduate I went to the US as F1 student for college, Due to financial situations, I am back here… in Japan where I belong according to my legal papers. Thats how I ended up in this hole.
