I haven’t had an anxiety attack in a few months, but they have retur…
Do you think life is essentially killing time? posted (2 years, 11 months) ago

It’s probably best to just move on with your life. But if it’s still nagging at you, then just get it over with and be prepared to forget about him.

Ultimatums aren’t always the best thing, but in this case, I think it has to be done. Just be prepared if he chooses her. If he “doesn’t know” then f*** him. Cut him loose! I know you’re probably hurting right now, but you don’t want to get hurt anymore if he still hangs out with the other girl. You don’t want to be around when he ends up cheating on you with her.
Think about it in perspective also. Three years with a boyfriend is nothing compared to when a husband cheats on a wife (or vice-versa). Get out while you still can! Don’t invest anymore emotion into him when he can’t return the feelings and loves another girl.

If you find a solution, please let me know. I find myself in the same position. Waking up every 20-30 min is no sleep at all. It sucks. I tried unisom too, but it doesn’t help me stay asleep longer than 3-4 hrs. Sometimes I think I need something stronger.

YES. I’m already miserable with my life as it is, I might as well look good and maybe get my self-esteem back. I don’t consider myself unattractive, but I do have self-confidence issues. Being attractive would give me one less thing to worry about. Besides, in this state of mind, I wouldn’t mind losing 5 years. Life seems too long.

Is Valerian an herbal remedy? I’ll look into it though. Thanks.
I guess with the medication, it’s more like I have a tendency to take more than the prescribed dose because a) I don’t think it’s working fast enough (I’m a very impatient person), b) it worked but I built a tolerance and I want more of the effect, or c) it worked but I want to feel even better and reach a higher level of relief.
I understand if medication is necessary due to a physical abnormality, but let’s assume it’s not a biological deformity in the brain. Let’s assume it’s all in the head and it’s the psyche that needs help. I always say that my own thoughts will be the death of me. Any ways to beat the worrisome, anxious thoughts? Any suggestions as to detach myself?

I wish I didn’t care about anything either. I wish I didn’t worry about my future. I wish I didn’t worry so much about my relationships with other people and how I look. I think these are all normal thoughts, but we face them everyday. My question is, how do you find confidence within yourself?

I don’t really sweat, but I do when I’m nervous. I think it’s a different feeling. When I get anxious, I feel it inside my chest and heart, and I don’t know how to get rid of it. My breathing gets shorter and sometimes I have trouble breathing to the point of hyperventilation, leading to an attack. I just feel so overwhelmed by my anxiety. Any non-medication suggestions? I don’t want to take any medication because I’m afraid of becoming addicted/dependent because I have a bad track record with drugs. And because therapy is expensive (and I’d rather not give therapists/psychologists my money), is there anything else that can help me?
