  Jealousy of your ex will always exist with your current girlfriend, but I agree that to be honest and tell your current gf… She will likely be extremely mad but remind her that you are being honest because you love her and your relationship is special.

  My fiancé was just like that before we started dating. We both knew we liked each other but he never asked, so finally I put on my “Big Girl Pants” and I asked him. he said yes. He was just worried that dating would change what we already had.

  Most likely you do not want a relationship because it you feel more wanted when two guys are in the mix vs just being the girlfriend to one. When that happens you are no longer the coveted prize and you feel differently. Almost less important. All girls like to do that, although we tell ourselves that we are confused to avoid the honest truth.

  I had the same situation with a co-worker who I always was good friends with. I think there is definitely feelings on both sides. hehe me and my co-worker are now engaged. Everyone commented on our chemistry from the very beginning even before we were ready to admit our true feelings.

  Sometimes you have to cut the cords with your family. I had to move away from my family too. I moved 16 hours away… a bit more extreme but it was what I needed. I do not talk to my family much and I do not think that I need them there to know that I am deserving of love. You have a lot of healing to do. I wish you all the best. I have been on the path of learning to believe and love myself. Sometimes there are things that happen in your family that just never heal or resolve themselves. That is something you are going to have to prepare yourself for. I have read a lot of books that have helped me through times like yours. I recommend the book “I need your love is that true? By Byron Kate”
