  Your beliefs sound more agnostic to me (though I’m not sure there’s any one place you, or anyone, for that matter, could pinpoint their beliefs). Atheism is absolute disbelief in the existence of any God.
  
  Don’t feel distressed because it seems like so few people believe what you do. It doesn’t matter how many people share your belief, it just matters that you believe it and that you are willing to think for yourself and not be told what to think, which I admire. And believe me, as a Christian I often feel the same way, that no one agrees with me or understands where I’m coming from. Faith, or lack thereof, will always be hard, no matter who you are or what you think.

  Agh. I know just what you mean. I don’t think you should stop talking to her, I mean, you never actually had a fight or anything (that you mention) that would cause her to act like that, and you have a right to know why you two have grown distant. Give her a call, or talk in person, whatever, but put everything out in the open, ask if you’ve done anything to upset her, and let her know that you value her friendship. And don’t exclude yourself from events or hanging out with mutual friends because of her. I’ve done that enough times to know that it’s a real bummer. They’re your friends too, and you have every right to hang out with them.
